@AndrewKorn

I've got the impression from several of your posts that you have insider information...

I was wondering when someone would remember the Amiga Transputer card. Good work!

Hmm, is that XMOS confirmed then?

Nope, I confirm nothing. The thing about confirmations is they sometimes go awry (Trevor...)

Given the talk about parallels and beyond computing, I was hoping someone would think of the Amiga's Transputer heritage. It's an obscure part of Amiga history, and something of a 'what might have been'. It's nice to see it remembered.

If you're looking for confirmation, solve the riddles. Otherwise, wait until tomorrow's update.

@Amike

The USS Zion carried ships to Rura Penthe penal colony in star trek.
Rura Penthe is the slave colony in 20000 leagues where nemo raged

20,000 Leagues indeed. Think about the "where" -- you're looking for a place. Guesses so far seem to be generally ignoring the "rage" part.

I turned round. Captain Nemo was before me, but I did not know him. His face was transfigured. His eyes flashed sullenly; his teeth were set; his stiff body, clenched fists, and head shrunk between his shoulders, betrayed the violent agitation that pervaded his whole frame. He did not move. My glass, fallen from his hands, had rolled at his feet.

This one has already been cracked, but for confirmation, find out what "river" is in Celtic (Welsh will do great, do need to dig up your Brythonic-English dictionaries).

Bristol-on-Avon?

River Avon which is in Bristol (nr wales), so the whole (core?) is from Bristol. XMOS is in Bristol

Well, that's what I was thinking but I very well could be wrong. Hmm.....maybe there is a choice of CPU's. A single core, lower cost and a dual core higher cost option.

I think the best nemo rage is mentioned earlier in this thread (can't remember by who).

Nemo = new Amiga
Nemo rage = Gurumeditation on the a-eon site.

4) A Lazarus snatched, to join the ride = Lazarus is Amiga itself ?

That's quite well thought out..
Lazarus was a guy in the bible that Jesus brings back to life... So possibly it's the resurrection of Amiga :)

And a very good 1st post :)

Bristol
-upon-Avon for sure:

Bristol's Saxon name speaks for itself. Brycg stowe means the place by the bridge.

Crossed = bridged.

Lazarus is of course a name with a long amiga history. Diskdoctor renamed resurrected disks as Lazarus.
