@TiredofLife

Your sam460 results was quite weird...how it can be near twice faster than x1000? Do you nave some beta tester opencl or somehing like featrue? 460 cpu cant be so fast....impossibile!

Your PC is faster than mine.

Note different Blender versions aren´t directly comparable.

As I'm a newbie to Blender, can anyone recommend a nice complicated drawing that we can all render using Blender v2.48a and compare rendering times here?

Thanks again for the great port Andy

UPDATE:

let's use this test render recommended by Tomas:

http://eofw.org/bench/

Time: 00:00:04.37 on Intel Core i7-4790K at 4.36 Ghz.

I used Blender 2.76 X64 edition.
Threads count set to auto.

Tile size set to X:8, Y:8 yields 00:00:04.04 rendering time.

Tile size set to X:16, Y:16 yields 00:00:03.97 rendering time.

Strange that "AMD Sempron 210U 1500MHz" has 00:00:04.74 rendering time i.e. I don't think this is real.

Time: 00:00:05.99 on Intel Core i7-3635QM at around 3.19 Ghz turbo mode.

@Hammer

Are you sure you used a CPU renderer instead of a GPU renderer ?

I know everybody wants to show multi thread benchmark scores but include always a single thread result as well with a CPU renderer.

@everybody
What stops porting the latest blender to AmigaOS ? Is it fork() function again. At least c++11 support should exist now.

@Tomppeli

AMD Crimson's GPU activity is at 0 percent. If I play SW TOR MMO game, the GPU activity is about 100 percent.

No LuxRender.

Blender Compute device: None.

I can reduce render time if I disable Anti-Aliasing.

Tile size, X:128, Y:128
Anti-Aliasing: enabled
i7-4790K's Single CPU thread is 00:00:18.2

Tile size, X:200, Y:150
Anti-Aliasing: enabled
i7-3635QM's Single CPU thread is 00:00:26.6

@TiredofLife

benchmarking diferent blender version was no use... really big improvements on redering engine was made throught various versions, I tryed here on my Pegasos2 and noticed a 30% difference(if I remeber right) from 2.48 under AmigaOS4.1 to 2.5x on MOS3.9 where same version have to expect quite same time...
