Should we make arrangements before bringing in classic hardware on Friday?

We'll have to wait for someone representing Amiwest to answer that.
I just compile data into this AW thread to keep information together.

Seems sundown has already responded.

Copying an Amiwest related request from another thread so it does not get lost:

From @Zener:

Quote:
Hi all,

as you probably now Amiga Dave will be organizing an Amiga Game Competition among other things at Amiwest. I suggested him one option for the competitions (or just one game to show) could be the game Tracker Hero for classic Amigas.

The only problem is that a PS2 guitar and a PS2 to Amiga adapter is needed to best play the game. It can be played with CD32 pad or Amiga keyboard but of course it would be nicer to show it with a guitar plugged into the Amiga.

Finally here comes the request: Please, if anybody who is attending Amiwest has the PS2 guitar and the adapter, he could do the favor of bringing it to Amiga Dave stand so people can try it with the guitar.

It's a bit late to ask but it's worth trying.

Thanks for your help fellow amigans,
Zener

Response to post #62 in this thread by Robert Bernardo in the original poster's thread:

Quote:
Done. I have the Toni Westbrook PSX64 adapter (which is used with Shredz64 for the C64)... and I have a PS2 Guitar Hero guitar.

Currently testing OS4.0 and OS4.1 and Mplayer and GUI and different versions.
I'll post recommendations for OS4 users in regards to the broadcast when we are done testing.
Because...yes...we get different little results by mixing and matching things. heh.

Official Amiwest site link added back to Post #1. Site has been updated now.
Also added the dessert to the menu. heh.

OS4.1 recommendations for viewing the broadcast streams:

http://www.amigasoft.net/pages/mplayer/mplayer.asp

MPlayer Summer (reloaded) 21-08-2009 (August 21, 2009).
This is the 1st version of Mplayer shown on the author's homepage and is the most current.

http://www.onyxsoft.se/download-graphics.html
MPlayer-GUI V1.50
Also the most recent.

OS4.0 recommendations for viewing the broadcast streams:

You can use the above, but it is a known issue that MPlayer Summer (reloaded) can on exit/quit if you don't let the stream end on its own.
If that bothers you, use the Epiphany version RC2, which is the 4th version on the author's homepage. It should exit/quit cleanly.

MPlayer-GUI/Input/HTTP tab where it says "URL:" - just paste the following
without the brackets:

Any other versions are untested with streaming and not recommended.

Webcams tested with both IB and OWB. Both work fine.

3 new posts from the Amiwest President including final exhibitor list.

I had to remove some info from post #1 in this thread and replace it with direct links to each topic from amigaprez, due to the unmanageable size of the post. heh.

@thread

Added and edited a few items including vendor setup and show opening times, which were not available at the time the original schedule was posted.

Some people arrived in the last day or so. The balance are travelling today.

I intend to initiate a new thread later today with only the information needed for people to follow all of the show news and events. We'll use that for reporting as well.

There is still more news awaiting approval for publishing. It might appear then. If not, it will appear during the 1st official day of the show, tomorrow.

It is still VERY early morning in Sacramento, so if you have other things to do, get them done. It will be at least 8 hours and probably longer before I have any new info.

I've submitted a news in the news item folder. Could the moderator approve the news, please? It's Amiwest related.

Thank you

I'm sure Bill Borsari mention somewhere in a thread, he's going to a wedding/Party and won't make it till the afternoon on Saturday Has he got a stunt double ready to get the live stream up and running?
and have you any ETS (estimated time of streaming) or do we wait until you post on here saying the Video's are go.

Cheers for all the hard work in maintaining this thread.

Already covered in my post #1 summary of all news.

We have our own little news network going, so as soon as he checks in or posts directly, you'll have more specific times.
This may not depend so much on Bill as it does on the show, which is overloaded with guests and events. I anticipate schedule changes.

Thank you for the appreciation.

This may be the last bit from amigaprez, since he's probably en route to the show now:

Upon recommendation, considering that vast amount of news to be discussed and still being processed, we opted for a separate thread for Amiwest 2010 news at this point. (Friday afternoon PDT)

Amiwest 2010 - News

The link in post #1 of that thread, will still allow easy access back to this thread with the more complete pre-show information.

More information concerning what Carl is bringing (mentioned in post #72):

http://www.rebol.com/article/0491.html

I had intended for that to be mentioned at the show only, but I see it is now being posted everywhere. Sorry amigaprez.
