@all
I assume then that Update 3 (for OS4.1) is definite then? I hadn't noticed anyone "official" (i.e. obvious links to Hyperion) announcing it was planned...

It's more than likely "intent" will be posted here first:
http://blog.hyperion-entertainment.biz
much like it has been for the classic release.

I would expect there will still be news releases on AW, in one form or another, but likely only when products are released.

@kas1e

There is an interesting info into this OWB about window

Special thanks to Ilkka Lehtoranta for his NetSurf GUI classes

That's mean MUI OWB use some code from MUI NetSurf, quite cool indeed

There's almost nothing left of it anymore, though. But it helped me for the very first version of OWB, to design the different classes and their relations.

Although I read some of the components of MUI-OWB for OS 4.1 requires an update in the OS - your expecting it to arrive update 3 will you be releasing a Alpha or Beta version anytime soon?

Can you not just mention the components that aren't working so we can avoid then? Is it clear-cut like 'don't use the option X in menu Y' or is a HTML-rendering issue? Aka sites we should avoid.

Going by the YouTube videos I have seen posted by kas1e it seems quite usable.

@djrikki

Releasing version which freezes every 7-10 minuts the whole OS, its for sure no-go even for alpha. When that bug will be fixed i think update3 will come out :) We still have thinks to do. We also found one more bug: url-history-competition not works as should and that need to fix as well.

I already know how all of this will be if we will release half-working version : everyone will say "mui-owb suck". And everyone will think that morphos version also suck the same. Users will not drive into details, and will just bring those fast-opinions.

So better to fix just those small bugs and one major one, and release it (imho it will be right in the times when update3 will out).

@kas1e

There is another things to add into todolist

Labels must be clickable on the various part of the GUI, actually you can't organize them because they aren't clickable at all, as you can see in this grab on OWB MorphOS:

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/aa/OWB-downloadmanager.png

You can click on name, size, progress, details etc ...

hahaha that about for os4 owb should read "Special thanks to the Morphos Team members without whose help this wouldnt have been possible. Even though we ridiculed them and falsly accused them of all kinds of things"

I see you keep building bridges between the camps, nice going there. Consider this an official Trolling warning.

Ok thanks for the warning.. you seem to forget one of the reasons that this OWB port project began was due to thread instigation I did before about original owb...

@realize

Even if you are just trolling i can give you an answer:

Clickable labels is already possible on old MUI 3.8 and so on, don't having it (yet) on our MUI OWB port (for OS4) is only caused by a limitation of the actual MUI OWB port, so i ask kas1e if he can add it soon or later, that's it ..

Are you happy now ?

If you are not acting like a troll why you spread lies like a troll ?

There is no one single line of code from MorphOS team or MUI4 developers (only OWB code maded by Fab and most of that code was rewritten to backport it on OS4/MUI 3.9), clickable labels is an old MUI 3.8 features

We start to ask about it since 2009 or so, before you and without tons of bs ..

Err, i'm not exactly sure what you refer to, here. :)

I hope it's not about the whole OWB, because even if it was quite some work to adapt it to MUI3.9, that work only represents a very small part of the actual code (and i only mean morphos/amigaos part here, not whole webkit).
For information, the OWB MorphOS specific code is currently about 80000 lines.

In the OS4 port, a part of it was addressed directly in MUI 3.9 (planned for update 3) by extending or fixing MUI where needed. Then there was some work with the list wrapper (maybe 1k lines at most), replacement for tabs (let's say 1k lines as well), charset management (a couple lines) and so on. And of course, chirurgical changes here and there.

But all in all, "most of that code was rewritten" surely doesn't stand. :)

Yes this was more or less what i meant but i know my english sucks ..

I just try to explain to our funny friend that no code was used from MorphOS team or directly from MUI4, huge help comes from you and then big work was about that's MUI 3.9 changes and so ... aniway.

Yah. . . and what's cool is that you are willing, and simply help spread the fun beyond your platform of choice. . . unlike some who just can't seem to let the past stay in the past. I continue to hope that leaders and coders and users from all sides can follow your excellent example. (I only qualify for that last category of "user.")

Haha yeah, but as we are talking about applications i consider that as a "different" thing, YAM for example is mostly developed by OS4 coders but it runs native also on MorphOS so (following the realize's scheme) certain red troll can blame that MorphOS use certain OS4 code ...
