There is danger the product get rushed out there because people complaining about how long it takes, we need this thing to be tested and running well before it shipped, we do not wont an other repetition of the Eyetech boards.
There is a number things that has to have hi priority.
* Getting the drivers for PCI express working, * Completing the USB2 drivers. * Soon the world switching to IP6, the TCP/IP stack needs to be updated.

The X1000 is pretty interesting AMIGA featureing pretty interesting CPU. Amiga Os 4 is a continuation of the Amiga Os 3, based on original sources Amiga Os 3.

True, but in those terms I dont get Hyperion. EP460 was publicly demoed 2006 so there was a five years window period. Why having Classic version first instead first focusing on X1000 version and doing Classic PPC version as cherry pie and when 4.1.3 is realised to all? An X1000? Or was it a Sam460 (those *have* gone out to at least some developers/testers)? |

| @AmigaHeretic I'd say it's delayware which was to be expected. But I don't care, I am not interested in that product for many reasons.

Sorry, but now it's me that I don't get you
ACube was founded on 2007, the Sam460ex was demoed on 2010 for the first time at VCF.
BTW, there is no EP460.

3 areas of confusion when people post, imo. (1)they use the date of the yosemite reference board being shown for the 1st time and (2)the industrial board is lumped into discussion with the board that you demonstrated and (3)posts do exist on AW during the early rumor stages of a new set of boards all with female names and specifications by conjecture.
You might want to use your own official thread for any clarifications, so the information can be easily located. ACube Systems

Unless I read umisef's post incorrectly, I'm sure he was referring to the version intended for the testers, which would be rev 2, no?

I wonder if the X1000 NDA will allow the beta testers to update their .Sig info.

I agree with your post and it makes sense not to rush things (learning from the A1 probs). I guess my questions is if you're not ready and you don't want to rush things because they want to get them right, then why take peoples money?
Seems like you can't have it both ways, "I don't want to rush the product" however "Hurry up with that payment." Trevor visited NZ & jahc's Amiga club, he only brought the "show" board for them to look at, no rev 2 beta boards have been sent out yet, I'm sure a-eon will announce when they do._________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

I wouldn't worry about the payment money, jahc bought in, then had a major money problem come up, with in a day he had his money back. Seems Trevor kept his word about returning the money to anyone who asked.
Varisys has many contracts their working on & they need to set their priorities to bring in the most money. I'm sure the x-1000 project isn't #1 on their list, so higher paying projects will/can delay the build/test.
Seems common sense & logic isn't the Amiga communities strong point. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

| I really hope the AmigaOne X1000 is not vapourware, because this new Amiga computer is the only reason I did not buy new Windows or Mac machine yet.
As seen in this thread the Amiga community is not a factor anymore, that can keep you to the platform. Neither the new software releases that are not many at all, nor the classic games that can be played under emulators are something that can keep you still using Amiga in 2011.
But.... If I can have fun for seven years, as much as I had with my micro AmigaOne, then surely the AmigaOne X1000 is the computer I want to have and I am waiting for its release.
