Unfortunately, I was not present to film the McMullan presentation. I came in just after it concluded. However, after talking to Jason a few minutes on Skype, I concluded that such a video recording would have been problematic. The Skype video was very jumpy, and there was severe voice lag on the video.

No video at my end,

I noticed that lag too from watching it live. Oh well.

Regardless, thank you again for all the hard work you put into the recordings and subsequent uploads!

I finally got a chance to watch your presentation. Good job, well presented, fun and informative. Thank you so much for X1000 project. You are an Amiga hero!

I agree totally that Trevor Dickinson is an Amiga hero. Everyone does not have to agree with the decisions that he made, or the path he chose to create an ultimate Amiga, the first Amiga computer built from scratch only for running AmigaOS since the day Commodore went under.

It could have been done differently and the result is not for everyone, but you can't argue that Trevor is someone who sits on the sidelines complaining about what is, or is NOT being done in Amigaland. He took action. A very bold step with the best of intentions and the result is a huge success in my mind, no matter how much people complain about the details, or the price (I admit that I too at one time complained about the price, but i am over that narrow minded view now).

Trevor has accomplished what no other person or company was willing to do since the early 1990's and that is to design and build a brand new Amiga computer that is not intended for any other use or market. If lucky, it might find some other use by a few people, but that is not why it was built. The AmigaOne X1000 is all Amiga and I can't give Trevor enough credit for sticking with it's design and production to see it through to the end, specially after all the criticism that he and the X1000 project received from many of the people that he was doing this project for.

Thanks again Trevor, for putting up with all the criticism and making your dream a reality.

The AmigaOne X1000 might be remembered as one of the most ambitious projects ever accomplished by a fan of any OS at any time.
