It seems you already have that 2 button interface cant we just expand that to include a few more buttons for input selection? Easy for now :) It would really be killer to have a nice modern os4 look gui sometime. |

| Oh, what fun! Unfortunately, I may not be able to play. My Sam440ep-flex is full up with a graphics card, a sound card and a CatWeasel. My little Sam440ep in the Relec case has a wifi card that I'm not really using in its single PCI slot. I could remove it. Trouble is, I'd have to find a half-height TV card for that machine. Do such things exist?

| You can count me in ... using it too here on my ”A1 :)
Hooked up my C64 to it since my last Commo Monitor died some time ago, great stuff for coding, it's like Picture in Picture on AOne :D |

Very good that people are using it! I've not had any feedback at all so kind of felt I was just doing it for myself (except a few posts when I release a new version).
My Sam440ep has some graphical glitches sometimes, and the overlay mode doesn't work properly (works fine on my Peg II), so it probably won't be perfect.... but you may have better luck, and it should be at least usable.
I'd be very interested to hear how well different cards work on different machines, though - I could make a list of known good cards on my website.
For a Sam, though, you will need it to be Cx2388x based, as these are the only 3.3V cards supported (the Bt8x8 is a 5V chipset). |

| Ok, this thread is pretty old (once again) and I would like to revive it ...
I'm still using my Haupauge WinTV Card in my ”A1 with various old Computer systems and I'm pretty satisfied with the quality of the picture.
But sometimes the colors are a little tooo dark and blurry. Is there a way to get a color/brightness/saturation button to adjust such things (only dreaming I guess) ???
The other thing is, I want to hook up my old Pong games from Universum buit it only has a tuner output ... but tuner is not available yet, am I right ?
Any plans for a future version of AmiTV ? |

Sorry, I only just noticed this thread. You're better off emailing me or PM'ing me with suggestions, as I find AmiTV threads disappear off the front page quite quickly sometimes as not many people use it.
I can take a look at it, maybe - are you using a Bt8x8 or a Cx2388x chipset card?
I don't know when I'll be able to look at it, mind, so don't hold your breath... but at least now I know you want it so I can do it. :)
Edit: Just saw about the tuner too. If you can tell me your exact model of WinTV card, I can see if I have the same tuner, in which case maybe I can write support. It's a little complicated but my initial test version of AmiTV does actually support the tuner - but only the tuner on my particular card! If yours is a standard Win/TV card from Hauppauge though, there's a fairly good chance I may have the same chipset. Again - don't wait up for it, though, it's a fairly complicated thing to implement (requires I2C support).... Last edited by Spirantho on 26-Oct-2012 at 09:06 PM.

I still have trouble with overlay, unfortunately - but at least the Peg II works ok.... does the uA1 work with overlay correctly? Do you use real interrupts or faked interrupts? Direct Overlay or Buffered Overlay, or no Overlay?
I'm hoping that Hans can get textured video before long. That'll eliminate all the overlay problems! Then I can just render a GL buffer of a textured polygon - very fast, and much more stable. |

Overlay produces a crash, no matter if buffered or not ! |

I want to give this a try, do you know of any low profile cards that are known to work in a Sam400EP?

I don't know, I'm afraid - I've never looked for low-profile cards! What you need is a card with a Conexant Cx2388x chipset which doesn't use a PCI bridge to get to the chip. Which ones have these, though, I don't know - I do know my Hauppauge works well, but another one I have doesn't (can't remember the make, a cheaper one).
Sorry I can't help more! Would be interested to hear how you get on, though, if you find an appropriate card (they do exist, I believe!) |

No problem, I'll keep looking. If you let me know which model worked for you and which didnt, it might make it easier to find something similar
Failing that, I might have to rebox my Sam.

My primary card is a Hauppauge Win/TV HVR-1300 - I have another card which I think works, too, which is just a Cx23881 chip basically. If you can find the simplest Cx2388x-based card with the fewest extras on it, that's probably your best bet.... the ones with more chips on are more likely to use a PCI bridge (though my loaded Hauppauge one with encoders and stuff doesn't) |

I wrote you a few days ago but maybe you mail address has changed.
I have put a TV card (BT878) in my AmigaOne G4 and when I launch AmiTV, I only get a blue window and the CPU goes up to 100% (and all the system starts to crawl).
I tried everything but nothing works (changed overlay mode, changed interrupt...).
Is there anything I'm doing wring or is my card badly supported ? _________________ PowerMac G5 2,7Ghz - 2GB - Radeon 9650 - MorphOS 3.14 AmigaONE X1000, 2GB, Sapphire Radeon HD 7700 FPGA Replay + DB 68060 at 85Mhz |
