@Xenic

It adds the links without any feedback.
Select your Bookmarks Menu Item and see if it has added a new category under Mozilla Firefox.

For anyone needing to use local files like for importing of bookmarks the directory to put then in is Timberwolf/CurrentUserProfile/ .

I tried it but nothing happens. I selected the BOOKMARKS/SHOW ALL BOOKMARKS menu item. A window called "Library" opened and I selected the IMPORT AND BACKUP/IMPORT HTML item. When I got to the IMPORT BOOKMARKS FILE window I selected bookmarks.html and clicked Open. Nothing happened. I'm getting frustrated with the "foreign" GUI at this point.

I get the same as Xenic. Nothing new shows up, neither in the bookmarks menu nor in the bookmarks toolbar. In fact, I don't even have any "Mozilla Firefox" entry, so nothing can show up under it.

Niels

Strange unless some files are missing or not created.
I had copied my setings from the Apha version.
Some of these were copied from a WIndows XP machine too

@nbache

Just tried with a Clean TW install.
The Mozilla Firefox Folder is there and it added my html Links to a new folder called Amiga with no problem.I could also see that the folder had been added from the Library window at the same time.

@Spectre660

Strange indeed. Here, nothing at all shows in the list in the Library window, even after I use the Import HTML function and import the bookmarks.html file copied over from the MUI-OWB installation.

I have tried placing it both in Timberwolf/CurrentUserProfile/ and in Timberwolf/CurrentuserProfile/.mozilla/firefox/.default/ and importing it from both places. No luck.

The history doesn't seem to work either - don't know if it's related or not.

Best regards,

Niels

@Spectre660

I get the same as Xenic and nbache. I have tried the new Timberwolf in two different JXFS partitions as well as an FFS partition and my SYS: partition which is SFS\00. I even tried it in my SYS:Internet directory.

I have a MicroA1 with 256MB RAM so my system might not have enough RAM to access whatever files it needs for the bookmarks.

I am runing a standard OS 4.1 update 4 (except for the Radeon HD driver) so wonder if anything got broken in update 5 . if not try a second "clean " TW install in a different directory.
History working for me.

@mr2

From TenfourFox development blog:

Quote:
UPDATE: Just read that the Frieden bros. got a updated version of Timberwolf running on AmigaOS 4. This is a fork of Firefox (much as we are also a fork of Firefox) for PowerPC Amigas, mostly targetted at the (object of my lust) PA6T-based AmigaOne X1000, but works on SAM boards and the like. While they still have some work to do to get it up to current, it's good to see PowerPC-based Firefox alive and well on other platforms besides the usual suspects.

Looks like the author of this PPC optimised Firefox for Powermacs is following Timberwolf with some positive interest.

Correct (I have 2 GB). And this also points out that people without update 5 (which I have) have the problem too. So that isn't it either, I guess.

@nbache

Maybe it is a speed issue? The bookmarks, and other affected portions such as history, are all stored in SQLite databases. If Timberwolf isn't getting a response from these databases quick enough it might be giving up, or there might be another SQLite bug that is only showing up in certain circumstances.

I'm on a SAM 600MHz here and I have the problem. Writing to these databases seems to be working, but reading from them clearly isn't.

Some extensions seem to be blocking access to the panel. only one of three that I have tried thus far that does not is Fasterfox.
