...perhaps he shouldn't illustrate it with an image from the comic book series which he omits to mention.

It's just a ridiculous side take on, "When it's done " as far as I can see. That's why I completely ignored the original reference material and instead think of this merry-go-round as like humanity blindly worshipping the Divine Shadow of the Lexx universe and having faith beyond reason that this insectoid being has their best interests at heart. (Again, I clarify that I like Trevor, Matthew and Steven Solie).

It's one thing for A-EON struggle to set a release date for this very late hardware model, it's another thing entirely for the AmigaOne community to be told that it's hillarious even though this board has a high probability of being pushed even further back into 2020 should anything go wrong in the supply chain!

Should a delay happen the Vampire WILL steal more sales, the PS5 WILL prove a temptation for many and people WILL give up entirely and spend their money on their Classic machines or heaven forbid a holiday!

I guess it's the old saying, "if you don't laugh you'd cry"? Good luck A-EON.

@BigD

As someone with limited resources, financially speaking, I had been hoping for an A1222 release for the past four years. Now, I am being lured away from OS4 HW by AROS on cheap/powerful PC HW, and the possibility of MorphOS on cheap PC HW. Loyalty can only be stretched so far.

@PhantomInterrogative

Very true and I think A-EON are attempting to mask this stretching of our loyalty with humour and Steven Solie's laughter track!

Tabor is still on my want list but patience is wearing thin. A Morphos x64 release would kill my interest in OS4 completely at this stage.

@LarsB

Yeah well, I'm concerned about another soft launch of AmigaOne hardware with no fanfare and it being completely overshadowed by the court case and/or the Vampire. As I've said before this NEEDS to sell well and that's not a given considering the issues at play.

Perhaps it would help to think of it as Q22/15?

@kamelito

This was posted under Post #1175.

We've read it and there are no clear answers just as there weren't any at the show. If you have the money and still believe in project AmigaOne (yes Matthew, Trevor says that's still allowed ) I would buy a X5000+ because the Tabor is still in launch quicksand! All this disappointment presented on this thread since post #1175 is in response to the lack of a clear launch date for the Tabor and a flippancy about it's sliding launch summed up with the 'quote of Amiwest 2019';

"Only the Shadow knows!"

= hilarious!

@Thread

Real news; Stephen Jones' Checkmate A1500 Plus cases are closing for second batch ordering at midnight tonight! If you were interested in the Tabor, is it worth the gamble to buy a case right now?

Stephen Jones Closing Checkmate A1500 Plus 2nd Batch Ordering at Midnight Sunday 17th November!

... and from Trevor's slot at Amiwest; no standard case for Tabor has been selected yet for the Early Adopter bundles so no one knows whether a Checkmate A1500 Case is worth the upgrade from the standard one or not! Great planning this isn't and I feel sorry for Stephen Jones (but I guess he'll have 100 less cases to put together this time because of the A-EON shenanigans and more time to spend with his family).

Maybe the Early Adopter A1222s should have had a subsidised Stephen Jones case thrown in to the deal for all the Amigans patience throughout this process?

Although it would be fantastic if the AmigaOne 1220 came in an official case, there is IMHO zero chance that case will be the one produced by Stephen Jones. Various reasons.

@Trixie

The point is there WILL be an official case but no decision has been made and therefore people can't decide whether they NEED to upgrade to the premium Stephen Jones cases! Sad.

To be honest I rather buy a quality case myself.

@Trixie
I notice that it has USB3 ports. Did it come with adapters to connect to USB2 headers on the motherboard? I bought an adapter cable to connect the USB3 port on my X5000 case to the USB2 header on the mother board. Just a thought if you really want to be prepared

I thought a magazine was a comic (and viceversa)?
