| A 5450 is slower than a 4650, but being PCI would mean it's quite a lot cheaper and easier to get it mated with a sam440. However, if your PCI-PCIe adapter is 33MHz only, then I would really go for the 5450. |
If I understand how the sam440ep (mini-itx) I have at present is configured the single PCI slot only runs at 33MHz as the 66MHz slot connected to the onboard graphics chip. So a faster PCI-PCIe adapter won't help in this case.
I am more interested in having more than 64MB of video ram so I have the option of using multiple high resolution screen without running out of video ram and slowing my system down to a crawl rather than attempting to make my graphics faster in general use. _________________ Sam440ep 667mhz, 512MB, 120GB 2.5" HD, OS4.1FE WinUae 3.0.0, OS 3.9, BB3, Catweasel MkIV Amiga 1200, Blizzard 040/40 (BlizzardPPC 060/200 with SCSI removed at present), mediatorSX pci, Voodoo3, PCI network card os 3.9BB2 4MB Minimig with ARM addon boar |

| It's not so good, it's slower than mine, probably your graphic card doesn't have ddr3 memory or it's clocked lower than mine, however try to do the test in fullHD 1920x1080@32 |
I was in screenmode 1920x1080x32? My GFX card is a Sappire Radeon HD 4650 bought from AmigaKit and as far as I'm aware not underclocked or anything!Last edited by tomazkid on 11-Jul-2012 at 09:56 PM. Last edited by sicky on 11-Jul-2012 at 06:29 PM.

Just quick question should us X1000 FC owners be getting a password or will the driver be on Hyperion downloads. _________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Or do we just register either OS4.1.5 or do we register our X1000's? if so whereabouts is the serial number just don't want to drag my x1000 out from its cosy spot unless I have too._________________

Good stuff. looks like the X1000 needs a video card like this to make her snappy and happy .
PS: looking at some other results with more recent OS components than yours things should get even faster with later OS 4.1 updates . Last edited by Spectre660 on 14-Jul-2012 at 01:18 AM.

Memcopy 450MB sec with the CPU. Fastest so far for a CPU assisted copy. It seems writepixel does not use DMA on x1000 yet. (when it does, it might reach several gigabytes per second, definitely unseen on PPC desktop yet) Last edited by KimmoK on 14-Jul-2012 at 09:35 AM.
