RadeonHD.chip and the version PCIGraphics.card that came with it should be present. There should also be entries in the Kicklayout.

Yes, the problem is in the "SYS:Kickstart/Kicklayout" file, I insert theRadeonHD.chip and now works ´fine.

Another Card tested.
For some reaseon it wont display any resolution above 1024x768 except 1440x900.
Did the text controlling from VNC on a PC so the monitor would have been blank during the test.

Have you tested the difference between the cards in the the PCI 66Mhz and 33Mhz slots on the Sam Flex. The AmigaONE XE can only see PCIe cards on a 33Mhz slot so it would give an indication of what to expect on those systems and also on Sam440 ITX.

I will see if I can do some tests in a 33Mhz slot.
The Amigaone XE does not have the Uboot support for the PCIE adapter that the Sam 440ep Uboot does though. I had drawn the idea of the adapter to a OS4 beat tester a few years ago on Amigaworld and he passed on the idea to Acube who added the support in Uboot.

Also the Sam440ep_setup utility was introduced.

* on all Sam440ep boards with a Radeon card enables read prefetching for graphic ram.
If a Radeon card is detected, the utility will modify the POM2 PCI registers to
enable read prefetching.
This speed up reads for the gfx card from 15 MB/s to 30 MB/s on a M9 card.

* set the Latency Timer on the 440ep PCI Bridge,
With this new setting read speed increase around 50% on Radeon PCI cards
(up to 42 MB/s on a M9 card) and around 200% on RadeonHD PCI cards

Results using Slot # 2 (33mhz) with rtg.library dma disabled.
This feels slow without the DMA.

Radeon HD5670 - 2032.04

The HD5550 and Hd6570 wont boot OS4.1 update 5 in slot #2.
Don't have time for detailed investigation.
Also tried the 66Mhz slot without DMA and the 5670. also feels slow. so Needs DMA.
DMA has to be turned off if using slot #2 or slot #3 ffom OS 4.1 update 3 onwards .

I assume the Radeon 9250 has a 128-bit bus. It certainly shows up some of the newer cards that are limited to a 64-bit bus.

There is a small performance hit because of the PCI to PCIe Adaper. All the PCIE cards have about the same Write Pixel Array result due to the adapter. The benefits of the HD cards come for much better composite performance etc.
