Awesome video Mike! Just one question, since the X1000's Radeon HD video card driver does not currently have 3D support, is my assumption that you are using the second video card in your X1000 to display LightWave3D, and that the second video card is one which has 3D support from OS4.x drivers, like a Radeon 9250, or some other 3D supported video card?
I know what you mean when you say that you don't like your own voice on the video. Everyone's voice sounds different when played back to them. Personally, I like your Southern accent in the video and I think you did a great job narrating the whole thing.
I think you should make a shorter video that is a "Step-by-Step" video of how to install and set up LightWave3D and the support programs that make it work on your X1000, plus any differences to make it work on your SAM and you could even include any differences in the installation and set up that is required for MorphOS that you have installed on your G4 MacMini. In other words, a Step-by-Step video guide for all PPC NG Amiga systems.
Your video linked above is my favorite Amiga related video now. You did a really great job on it. _________________ Amiga! The computer that inspired so many, to accomplish so much, but has ended up in the hands of . . . . . . . . . . |

Thanks, David! It may be a little while before I get around to another video because this one might have been a wee bit tedious in the production end. Heh. But soon I will only remember the fun and not some of the little aggravations.
Step by step might be a little problematic because, as I mentioned, I'm just copying my install from Amiga to Amiga over the years and the little tweaks I did with mode promotion and the mod-config file are already in this video. Where other people get their Amiga LW from and in whatever form it exists I don't know. It can't be bought anymore, after all. But it can be found.
You don't need 3D drivers to run LightWave. Remember, this is a 1990s program (two programs actually -- Layout and Modeler) written for Amiga's ECS modes. It's not like Blender, and it wouldn't even know what to do with a 3D driver I'm sure. Heh. _________________

I think its very common that most ppl hate hearing their own voice in recordings. We hear ourselves speak, but we hear it different when recorded._________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |

I have to leave for a few days on the 1st of Aug., but as soon as I get back, I am going to have another go at getting LightWave3D set up properly on my X1000, plus a few other programs we have discussed in the past.
If I can't manage to duplicate what you have done on your X1000, I will be giving you a Skype call so we can work out the kinks that are preventing me from enjoying the same level of functionality in using LightWave3D on your X1000. _________________ Amiga! | @mbrantley Thanks for making this video, I had given up on LW as it didn't look like it would run properly but you obviously got it running well enough to be useable.
Maybe your blank wireframe preview is caused by some palette settings?
The video and sound played just fine with MPlayer on my XE.

Actually, video editing on MOS/OS4 has been possible ever since Blender was ported Last edited by AlexC on 31-Jul-2012 at 12:26 PM.
