I'm glad I was called about this right away. Thank you Skinny Robbie! I totally agree this is totally unacceptable! I have asked Tedd to turn the site back on. This does not involve Amiga.org in any way. I don't want anyone else to suffer on top of the suffering I have already went through over this. I'm deeply sorry this was out in the open like this. I wish it could be solved the proper way!

- Bill

@eder

It has been pretty bad,but this is a new low. What does he hope to gain from this? It's not the users who are at fault, why is he making them pay?

Any thoughts I had of donating have now gone right out the window, given this childish behaviour. Very disappointing.
Makes you wonder if all that stuff that Franko said that nobody took seriously about Tedd might have been more accurate than we thought.

It's a shame. I can remember when Amiga.org was a good place where people who actually used Amigas hung out. Now it seems it's just MorphOS fanboys and trolls with anti-OS4 agenda.

Thank goodness we still have good forums like this one. :)

@DiscreetFX

How can a human with normal thinking have the idea to bring a community site down for personal reasons?

I got a email from Deron where he answered the truth is between and he will publish something here. Best would be you would solve it directly because noone outside knows what happened really. So I hope that this problem can finally be solved. But the action from today was really a highlight (from my experience in the last two years)...

it would be appreciated -- especially if he could update us on pagestream's future. will there be a stable, complete version of pagestream v5.0 for any of the amiga NG platforms, for example?

You could start by changing your password for this account, so we don't have to wonder who's posting right now everytime the dfx avatar shows up.

How in the HELL would anyone even know if he changed his password or not?!

Or do you mean that someone in authority at DiscreetFX ought to "Not let every employee use the same account!"

@DiscreetFX

Glad the site is back up. :)

@ thread

Aorg is still the best us based classic amiga website. Also its friendly to Aros, Morphos, and OS4. So probably the all around best all amiga site in north america.

Many people with classic amiga problems get help there.

And lets not forget its legacy as one of the oldest amiga sites.

This will be my last post from this aw.net account. I may or may not open my own account at a later date.

Effective 12:00 CST time I'm retiring my post from Amiga.org. My tired old bones just can't keep up with this anymore. I'm not closing the site down but instead giving the site to Bill Panagouleas (Pyromania) as a gift. I hope this in some way makes up for his sadness and hurt over the Aladdin 4D deal. It was not my place to speak out in public about a matter that was discussed with me in private. I hope Deron can find it in his heart to work things out with Bill but if not it's my last wish that my gift of Amiga.org to Bill will restore his joy, enthusiasm and hope for a brighter future for Amiga, MorphOS & AROS. It was his idea to save Amiga.org in the first place, I was but a wallet that allowed it to happen. I hate long goodbyes so will keep this short.

Good luck Bill and enjoy my gift to you, please always keep your members happy. I have learned from my experience in this community and wish all the best. Anyone needing to contact me for some reason can do so via e-mail.

Best wishes

- Tedd

@DiscreetFX

Yeah, I saw that post show up in my twitter feed. One guy posted supporting wishes, the next took potshots. oO

I've been out of the Amiga forum world for years now, so I don't know any of the dynamics or the story behind this stuff, about who did what to who or why, so I don't have a frame of reference on which to judge this matter. I DO hope Amiga.org can remain in existence, though. It IS one of the oldest of the Amiga webforums out there, and it would be a shame to lose it.

EXACTLY! You hit the nail on the head there, no one from DFX should be allowed
to post "anonymously" via their company account.

This... it was not me it was Bill...it wasnot me it was Ted is getting tiresome to hear.
