Who should make os4 then, if they only makes games? You?

I think os4 users just sit here at AW and expect everything come from Hyperion when couple of coder can port this and that but its easy to sitback and start changing channels from remote as i call remote user.

please start flame now but go easy im just an aros user why do i care about os4 (maybe i like to see os4 do well in this planet earth much as aros).

Steven was so kind to reply to our questions... why turn this thread in an unuseful bin of gripes?

@AmigaBlitter

It makes me sad as well, I was excited when I started to read this thread, and then it turns in to the same old BS :(

Anyway I am how ever happy to read that the netbook development is still on.

@AmigaBlitter

It's a shame that because of nay sayers we get so little of any info.

@nikosidis

Ha? Hyperion *is* focussing on software. It's called "AmigaOS". And I'm glad they did - if not, AmigaOS might have ended with release 3.9 (which I still use with my A2000's, but nevertheless I'm happy it's still in seamless development with the current release 4.1 - and ongoing) .

@thread

One thing I've noticed about AmiWest is that nothing new is ever revealed and nothing much happens. The only time something happens is at the Italian shows. How many people attended anyway? Some day I'll drive the 500 miles and see what really goes on there. I'd have to use three days of vacation pay.

Yes, I know. I wrote *might have*. Or not. I just wanted to point out that this hypothetical scenarios *in the past* (like Niko did) are completely irrelevant and useless. And so damn easy, 'cos you never can falsificate them.

Some threads should not be allowed to turn into whinge threads.

The AW moderation team should clean this thread up and return it to the useful thread that Steven set it up as.

If people want to whinge and moan, there is nothing stopping them creating their own threads.

I absolute agree, especially some postings with the hypocrite rhetorical question that where only meant as flame baits.

@ssolie

One thing that makes you a platform to grow (like it or not) are the games, to be told to Windows.
So my question for Solie. When Hyperion to make games, ports or original?

...Well, I know this has nothing to do with the OS

@natamix

While I agree more games are needed on the Amiga platform, I think Hyperion needs
to focus on the most important issue at hand; getting the OS up to date.

Be it dual monitor usage (i know the x1000 can use dual with some tweaks), using
multiple cpu cores, more memory, 3d graphics card utilization (drivers) etc.

The list is long, so games should be ported by other parties.
