Porting AmigaOS to the Raspberry Pi
...
It would have the advantage of driver code availability, 1080p graphics, fixed hardware platform and an inability to challenge the market for a full desktop, high performance ARM motherboard.

AFAIK some of the drivers are closed source, just because they have Linux doesn't mean the drivers are open Source.
Today you will hardly find an ARM motherboard with a CPU clocked with more tan 1.6 GHz in a suitable price range.
Most ARM are used in LowPower mobile devices and would not be uasable with the Amiga GUI. ARM systems in desktop like motherboards are meant as development boards and in a price range between Sam460 and Nemo.

ARM motherboard? Really? Where? _________________ This weeks pet peeve: Using "voltage" instead of "potential", which leads to inventing new words like "amperage" instead of "current" (I, measured in A) or possible "charge" (amperehours, Ah or Coulomb, C). Sometimes I don't even know what people mean. |
