You are a crazy Amiga enthusiast Trevor, and I admire your drive and determination for your ideas which help support the community called "Amiga". Good luck with all of your plans and thanks for creating the AmigaOne X1000, which I plan to enjoy using for a long time into the future.

Agree.

@thellier

A partial transcript of what I understood, so others can correct an continue where I left, one should start :)

Kamelito

"OK, what we've got here is the original Cyrus prototype the 1.0 with a 5020 scale CPU, DDR3 RAM onboard Xena, Xorro it was produced last year, testing as always then this is the last pressed 2000 that one. Cyrrus+ that's about two versions of that it has a P5020 Freescale. This will create an eventual Amiga replacement. The first pools was going to developers. But we won't expect to have,… we won't do beta-test program but .... next week. The beta test program ..boards…around Amiwest time. We're not talking about..."

Nice picture!

I read it as:

P5020 2 GHz
2x DIMM (DDR3)
1x PCIe x16 (assuming based on PCIe 2.0 x4)
1x PCIe x4 (PCIe 2.0 x4?)
1x Xorro
2x PCIe x1 (PCIe 2.0 x1?)
2x PCI
?x Gbit LAN
9?x USB2.0 (+ some front panel USB)
2?x Serial
2x SATA (2?)

@pavlor

I like the Idea to have as less as possible onboard (GFX and Soundchip), this should drop down the manufacturing costs. And you can choose from a wide set of pci/pci-e-cards (Radeon HDs, Old PCI Soundcards or new 24HT ones, SATA-Cards..etc). This should be the direction for every new PPC-Amiga.

@All:

If i would have enough Money in the Background iŽd like to do it like Trevor did! Good work!

@fingus

Exactly. USB3.0 card in PCie is first thing I would like to add to that board after I buy it.

Me not, I would rather support port to x86.

Indeed, Trevor and others did impressive work. They even delivered what Amiga.Inc promised in 2007 (computer based on PA6T)!

That's what he tried to say, yes. Honestly, how small teaspoons do you need?

@WolfToTheMoon

No I think its just Mplayer, there is some OS specific optimizing, that uses it. I think the increase in speed is easily going to make up for it.

@Hondo

There were some small portions of cyrus already shown at the previous amiwest that unveiled the breezin silkscreen.
Alternatively, the b52 reference as well as the varisys engineers signatures on the X1000 were also hinted eons ago, can't remember the exact source, though.

@Hondo

as I'm sure most people here already know. It was a Commodore tradition to add a B52 song title to the motherboard.

Link: Amiga History Guide

We continued the tradition with the Nemo and now Cyrus mobos.
