It does not fix the 2D or 3D issues as all GPU acceleration is turned of once the ring test fails but does allow the Radeon HD cards above the HD 4000 series to work as well as allowing proper frambebuffer support for the Radeon HD cards. So we are at the same point as the Sam440ep.

Ooh Oooooh! Did it fix the sm502 issues????

Hi,

I've installed Lubuntu 14.04 on my Sam440ep Flex rev 2 (733 MHz, ATi Radeon 9250 PCI 128 MB VRAM). It works very well with kernel 3.12.5. But with kernel 3.13.0 and radeon.dpm=0, Xorg works with the framebuffer driver and with only 8 colors.

I will have a look to see if I changed anyhing in the graphics section of the .config

Ok I added the Config_ Radeon_FB.

@xeno74

Can you try this new 3.13.1 kernel please.
I have removed the Radeon Framebuffer as was the case with kernel 3.12.5

@KimmoK

Unfortunately no .
The ring buffer test fails for some reason so the GPU acceleration is turned off .

@Spectre660
Gentoo PPC:

if you're using ati-drivers , then you'll need to disable radeonfb (and probably any other framebuffer drivers) in your kernel config, as it conflicts with the built-in framebuffer in ati-drivers .

@phoenixkonsole

Thanks.
I have disabled all but no success.
The same error is also seen on PA-Risc boards.

@sicky

There is nothing special about the kernel archives. They are in linux tar.gz format
so you should not have any problem in deleting one.

If you are referring to the iso installers then if you have clicked on the .iso file in AmigaOS 4.1
then the Diskimage utility may have been started and attempted to mount it.
To unmount it use DiskimageGUI in either your System or Utilities draw in Workbench.
