| @Lazi Yes, show it around and spread the demo-version, that's one of the reasons it was made for in the first place Last edited by Daytona675x on 07-Nov-2013 at 09:04 PM.

| Just tried the demo.
Very nice chip music and I like the really oldskool feeling.
One thing; With 23 inch monitors (PC version) the graphics looks a bit blocky. Any change of reselution setting considered? Not a big thing at all, just me being a spoiled PC brat, and overall the game is good

Have you tried the graphics settings? There is a lot of there to tweak the look and feel :)
@daytona675x It is working perfectly on the mikroA1! |

Great, good to know

It is the nature of the game that it features rather blocky graphics. You see, the internal playfield-buffer simply has a low (virtual OCS) resolution. But there are some graphics options that compensate this. In the graphis options section in the main- or pause-menu, one of the cycle-gadgets there should say "retro" or so if you currently have very blocky pixels. Click on that until it says "Modern". This will make the picture appear much less blocky. An additional softening-effect can be achieved by also turning scanline-simulation on.

Yes, the modern thingy worked :)
Well, ended up buying the full game (windows version) today. Really nice retro feeling, and it reminds me of Tiger Mission and Terra Cresta. Good times :)
The ingame tune is awesome!
(my personal all time favorite tune ever is Terra Cresta's (martin galway) track, tho the Tiger Mission title screen song (bjerregaard) is really really great too)
EDIT:
I got a USB joystick I bought from Amigakit a while ago. When looking at the controls page it seems like Battle Squadron "only" support keyboard. Obviously I might be missing something obvious (or not taken enough effort to google it). Using mouse works perfect tho, just wondering
Im starting to get addicted to this game! FUN FUN FUN...MUST.... BEAT... kas1e! Last edited by Overflow on 27-Dec-2013 at 12:10 PM. Last edited by Overflow on 27-Dec-2013 at 11:56 AM. Last edited by Overflow on 27-Dec-2013 at 11:47 AM. Last edited by Overflow on 27-Dec-2013 at 09:59 AM.

Yes, you miss the obvious You just need to assign your desired stick movements / buttons in the controls-menu. Move on an entry, click any button on your stick (or enter or so), then tap the button or direction you want to assign.
If you cannot use your stick to move through the menu, then the stick is not properly installed.
Note that you HAVE to use the controls menu once to map a stick. Just because you can use it to navigate through the menus does not mean that it will automatically work during game! That's because the default game-input-mappings are for people with keyboard only!_________________ AmigaOS 4.1 FE (sam460ex Radeon 9200 / RadeonHD), MorphOS 3.8 (PowerMac G4 733MHz Radeon 9000), AROS (x86), A1200 (060 80MHz Indivision MK2), A500, A600, CDTV Wings Remastered Development Diary |

I have got a DSI when playign the full version on AOS4.1. Where do I send the crashlog ?
BTW it is really amazing to play it again on Amiga-NG
I am just a little bit disappointed by the deluxe edition (front cover is b&w) and the "poster" (b&w). |

| Fantastic game!
Only problem I have on my Mac is my PS4 gamepad wont work with it directly. If I have it connected My mouse doesnt click any of the menu items. Take it off and I can click with the mouse. Settings doesnt allow any of the buttons or stick to be mapped if I plug it in and try to assign any while there.

Tbh I think you are better off using the mouse. I did too try to do it with joystick/gamepad, but mouse is much quicker and responsive. So if you want to gun for a top position on the Online High scores you "need" to use mouse. |
