@vox: I am sorry, that you made a bad financial decision (take a loan and buy an exotic computer-system, which is much more expensive in your country than in others), but you can´t blame Hyperion, Amigakit or A-EON for it.

It was clear, that the AmigaOne X1000 will be shipped with AmigaOS 4.1 and there was no given timeframe for AmigaOS 4.2, so you got exactly for what you paid. It is a well known fact, that 3D-support for modern GPUs will come with AmigaOS4.2 and Gallium3D and that multicore-CPU-support will take some time. You are some years in the Amiga-scene, so you should know, what´s going on. Point is: I see really no chance for you to win a court-case in this matter.

And sorry, your other "proposals" are completely over the top. First you want - additional to your X1000 - a free! Cyrus+-board from A-EON (for what reason? and why?) and than you want a refund (+Serbian taxes, which is insane - for Serbian taxes you have to blame your country) to buy a SAM 460 to run AmigaOS4.1 in the same state as on the X1000 (with no free upgrade to AmigaOS4.2).

@vox

To repeat: sell your x1000 and buy PowerMac. With left over money pay back your loan as much as you can do. In few months you are debt free and happy MorphOS user.

@Vox,

You know this is hobby stuff. Start Small and wade into it. To go to the top level and expect the world from such a small platform is beyond me. You bit off more than you can chew.

Sorry you think you got taken but to quote an old cartoon "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it Fred"

Don't return it yet, I'll have to look at it first! Please wait a week or less, when I will finally visit you and see X1000 for real :) I just didn`t have much free time (as usual).

Merry Xmas to all!

@WolfToTheMoon: I am afraid that Amigakit or A-EON are not legally bound to give vox a refund after all the time.

And after all the insults, treats and attempted blackmails I am not sure, if they will do something for him as a gesture of goodwill.

Beside that, he really don´t know what he want. First he want a Cyrus+-board, than a refund to buy a SAM 460. If he is so unhappy with the progress of AmigaOS4 (which could be faster for sure, but the manpower is limited and the devs do their best), why just leave the platform? This really makes no sense anymore. Poor ACube, if vox is unhappy again and play the same game with them.

@itix: Don´t be so sure, If he want´s something (for example MorphOS Airport-support for Powerbooks or an Office-suite for MorphOS) he wants it NOW.

But at least he can´t sue Apple for hardware-complains

Nah, users are already asking for Airport support and office suite.

@itix: To ask for something isn´t the problem. But I never heard from a MorphOS/Powerbook-user, that he wanted to sue the MorphOS-team, because he expected Airport-Support and he wanted it NOW.

@AP

I don't think is is appropriate to speculate what vox would do. However, users can try free demo before buying. If someone is dissatisfied with MorphOS he can't lose more than (low) price of hardware which was not sold by us anyway.

Staying away from direct hardware business (let other companies like Acube take care of it) make sense ;)
