| ok ... you won .. G5 is slow , X5000 is slow , Sam is not good , X1000 is horrible but what i continue not understand : (in my horrible english) You continue write here there, up and down ... but you dont have one machine that you continue speak bad about ... only picture thaken some ware and ask people to do what you like for you. Now i will not reply "your personal considerations" everytime you will write here nothing about "Emulation a Passion" i will reply with a screenshot/video of my G5 or other my machine running an emulator.

| There's no need of a machine to talk about it. It's simple logic.
In fact, it's countless the number of times that you talked about the X5000, and... you don't have it! Just to be "coherent", right? |

And yet... Freescale still doesn't ship this 1.8 GHz T4240... the fastest on sale currently is 1.67 GHz. They have a bug in a e6500 core and their 28 nm process is still maturing - and not meeting design goals(e6500 was supposed to clock up to 2.5 GHz, currently they are way below that)
They are VERY late with their 28 nm chips, TSMC is already producing 20 nm planar, and so will Samsung and GF in a few months. Intel is on 14 nm FinFET. _________________

That was the old version before Almos did the first euae jit beta :) from that video the speed was 9 to 40 mips not jit and 68 mips in jit :) Sheepshaver was running good but not fast because the MMU isnt jitted
this video was made with Jit enabled on peggy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JS6tGxe348U&list=UUkb4bw4N19d-x_tn2FXLojQ
This is the video of previous beta of euae jit on G5 and isnt much faster than Peggy because Tobias made some turn round for made the jit working on G5 . this is because missing documentation for this cpu https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqcZnUY-6dc&list=UUkb4bw4N19d-x_tn2FXLojQ
Hope soon will have Fs-uae with Qemu PPC Last edited by tlosm on 10-Oct-2014 at 11:40 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 10-Oct-2014 at 11:36 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 10-Oct-2014 at 11:24 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 10-Oct-2014 at 11:20 PM. Last edited by tlosm on 10-Oct-2014 at 11:17 PM.

| @WolfToTheMoon: what kind of bugs has the e6500 core?
Anyway, e5500 and e6500 have a very short pipeline, so that's maybe the reason why Freescale isn't able to deliver chips with the expected higher frequencies.
@tlosm: continue discussing of machines like food trying to shut-up the opinion of others is flaming. As I said, a people can talk of machines without having one. But if you think differently, you can PROVE it.
Fortunately here I can express my opinion about an argument without the risk of being banned or, as usual on your places, offended.
Now respect the netiquette, and let the other users enjoy the forum. Thanks.
Returning in topic, the MMU cannot be "JITed": it isn't a processor ISA. What happens it that an emulator doesn't support JITing of code when the MMU is enabled, which is a different thing... Last edited by cdimauro on 11-Oct-2014 at 06:02 AM.

first time i read about @cdimauro in a fpga forum, i was i was sure he had lot of knowledge about amiga chipset, and i was hoping he would use this for some good in the community. but i was wrong.. he is attacking every thing there is about AmigaNG platforms. like he is in a mission to destroy all NG platforms. It seems that other people do not. Have you took a look at the other messages? So, please, tell me: do I have to shut-up when other people attacks me?
@noXLar: sorry, I don't know any "AmigaNG" or NG platform. I don't know of what are you talking about... |

| Chrystal Mark Results On Virtual Pc 7.03 Host Machine G5 Quad 2.5 ghz :)
Remember VirtualPC use only one cpu of the G5 and is not hadware accelerated 2d/3d ..

You can compare ALU and FPU here :
