Have fun. I have not met anyone who uses NG Amgas in person to date. Nor even a Classic user in about 18 years .

| 2451 miles from here. After attending these past two years, I am sad to miss it this year. Hopefully next year I'll make a comback.
But for all who are going this year, have a great time! And try to be well rested before it begins, because once things get started, sleep seems to be hard to come by.
Definitely the most exhausing "vacation" I could ever imagine. And worth every bit of it.

What's going on? Be good to meet up. My own country and I haven't heard any news.
2016 would be a good year for a C!6 revival party. |

| The first day of Amiwest is over.
I got to the hotel about 2:30pm and on my out I saw ssolie and len checking in. Brian picked up ssolie from the airport and Len drove up just before ssolie got here.
I also saw Eldee while I was saying hello. I don't recall if he was checking in at that time or not.
Earlier it sounds like Brian and Epsilon set some things up for the show.
After saying hello I went out with my wife and packed the beer in ice. Then went out to eat.
Sounds like everyone went to sleep before midnight. pjs got to the hotel with Andy about 11pm and promptly called it a night. Even passed up a beer in favor of sleep.
I thought Trevor and Matt were getting in tonight but I have not seen or heard from them.
Goodnight.

| hope everything goes well and we get some much needed AmigaOs progress updates.
I'm currently saving up for an America holiday for next year and if its possible I'm going to try and time it for around the show next year, unless the www.amiga30.com event has something interesting. _________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

According to the schedule, that update or part of it would be today. I can only estimate evening GMT based on morning PDT.
Thursday:
Quote:
The programming days will start with a Thursday morning presentation by Mr. Steven Solie, the AmigaOS development team leader, on the status of the AmigaOS, the SDK and AmigaOS API. |
Source section 8.
Apparently post #93 seems to indicate this is a "closed session", not for the general public. Sorry for my misreading of the AmiWest schedule wording.

we're still setting up at the moment. there's eleven people signed up for the programming seminar, plus the developers who are here, so that's a lot of machines. looking like it will be good show this year, too.

Thanks for the progress update.
Given that the status report is scheduled for today, is it being recorded or manually noted or?

i don't think anyone will find anything out publicly until the show itself. if anything is revealed early, i'm sure we'd be asked to keep quiet until the actual announcements. but that's just a guess.

I have SUCH mixed emotions while looking at the Mac Air image with the Amiga OS4.1 desktop.
As I write, my wife's MacAir sits idle less than a meter from this keyboard.
But... that is **hers**... not ours.
All *my* computers are years old. Only laptop is a hand-me-down PPC iBook circa 2000.
