Thank you. I was hoping it might at least come with the X1000 4.1 Final version, though it does'nt sound llikely. _________________ - BCP AmigaOne X1000 & Amiga 4000

Sorry, I'll try to be more clear.
The device "EZCAP" as mentioned previously in this thread can record video from HDMI or from component video input.
When it is recording from HDMI, it will record ONLY audio embedded in the HDMI digital stream.
When recording from the component inputs, it will record audio ONLY from the line in and mic in jacks. Both LineIn and Mic In are mixed internally, allowing your voice to be combined with the game audio track. But these two analog audio inputs work ONLY when recording from a component video source.
At this time, AmigaOS does not support audio through HDMI.
[edit] miswrote component as composite, an entirely different video format with a similar name. All references to "composite" have been corrected to "component" which was my original intent.Last edited by lylehaze on 31-Oct-2014 at 11:08 PM. Last edited by lylehaze on 31-Oct-2014 at 11:07 PM.

I was not aware of such cables, but a quick search on Froogle shows one for just under $40 USD. Nice to know it's available if needed. Thanks!

A few devs have looked over the code and it seems fine, so there maybe a bug someone else. Needles and Haystacks come to mind :) _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS |

I think the hotel had a lot more bandwidth this year with advancements of broadband. I remember 5 years ago in the old hotel, the connection struggling. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS |

Certainly the X1000 Ethernet driver isn't close to a public release and will not be included in 4.1 Final Edition. When it is ready, it will be released via AmiUpdate or whatever release is closest at the time.
As far as I'm aware, that is the very last driver we owe all X1000 AmigaOS users._________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

| @Ami603 To answer your questions sent via PM, the serial driver has been done for ages and is already available.
As for the compact flash driver, I don't believe that was ever promised and certainly is not required. The only reason the compact flash is there is for booting. That is why it doesn't even support any sort of DMA or high speed bus. If it was meant for general purpose use by the OS, the hardware designers would have designed it differently. All that said, Tony managed to create us a driver (thanks!) for the compact flash and it is supposed to be included in 4.1 Final Edition.

Why has it taken so long to get the Ethernet driver working? Not a complaint - as the network card that comes with the X1000 is absolutely fine - just wondered.
I did think it was pretty close at one point as I think there was some mention it was in beta - sorry but I don't remember where that rumour came from. _________________ Sam |

See my answer in Post # 104
After several code reviews by different developers, I am beginning to think that the ethernet driver code is fine and the bug is related to some other file. Last edited by amigakit on 03-Nov-2014 at 05:17 PM.

That was no rumor. It was mentioned at AmiWest 2013 and brought up in many threads thereafter.
This quote from a beta tester might help:
Quote:
I can and am using it, I can't say anything else about it though. It was said to be 'In Beta' by Trevor at amiwest and no release date or even estimate was mentioned. Watch the video again as it's talked about in the first few minutes. |

I know it's probably no up to you, but is there any chance to finally have the DMA actived on the onboard sata port of 460ex? |

There is always a chance but the team is busy working on the X5000 now.
Do you require UDMA on that SATA port for some project?_________________ ExecSG Team Lead |

Nothing special, only the curiosity to see how faster could be my SSD installed on the sata2 with full DMA port of the 460ex compared to speed of connection to sii3212 in the pci port (where is "slow" in loading as a normal HD) |

How about releasing the Timberwolf source ? The terms have expired looong time ago, people are tired to wait and I do not understand why you do not put the source into a public repository

| @kyle I seriously doubt the speed of the PCI bus is the bottleneck in your situation. _________________ ExecSG Team Lead |
