@all

Although the show itself is October 16-18, it is being promoted as:

Quote:
AmiWest 2015 and associated events will be October 14-18, 2015

with October 14 (Wednesday) being a preparation day, in order for DevCon 2015 to start promptly at 9:00 a.m. (PDT) on October 15 (Thursday).

Recent postings have been issued here:

Please place all questions, comments, travel info, hotel info, corrections, etc. in this thread.

Thanks.

My only question is:

Will we have to sit through another FriendOS/FriendUP presentation?

@-Sam-

Thats what we had to listen to through the 30th at Amsterdam and at the Computer History Museum. I understand they donated money and thus you have to show some appreciation somehow but their presentation would probably be better suited for CES or another mainstream show that has better third party coverage.

@RobertJDohnert

It was clever marketing campaign, I think - they imagined 30th Amiga anniversary will have greater media coverage and media will write also about their product.

As usual, I've booked at the Super 8 Hotel a few miles away from the Amiwest venue.

@AmiWest staff or anyone who knows for sure

Based on some questions I've received:

Exactly what address/contact method should be used for potential sponsors for AmiWest?

Quote:
We always get questions about how to exhibit and/or sponsor AmiWest. In years past, we had employed a text form to fill out and return to us for this purpose. Last year, we employed an online form to fill out, thanks to Bill Borsari and his efforts at posting the form and collecting the information.

Quote:
Our exhibitor form is located here. Please fill out the form and let us know what you would like to exhibit at AmiWest 2015. If the dates are last year's dates when you get to the page, go ahead and use the form anyway. We will respond with cost information and an invoice for your level of involvement, be it exhibitor or show sponsor.

Although paragraph 1 speaks of sponsor, paragraph 2 refers to an exhibitor form only. I just want this to be clear for any potential sponsor, ok?

Is the exhibitor form (with link) also the form to use for people making request to be a sponsor?

From looking at the form, I can see a question after all the questions about becoming an exhibitor (and the needs of same):

Quote:
Do you want to Sponsor AmiWest?

Is that all one needs to answer if one merely wants to be a sponsor and nothing more? (Plus contact info at top of course)

Thanks.

Yes, the online form is used for both purposes. Any potential sponsors
should fill out the form and we will contact with costs and other details.
There is not a separate form because our sponsors are usually exhibitors as
well.

Looks like about 5 new entries at:

http://www.amiwest.net/amiwest2015blog/

With so little time left, please pay attention to both the banquet and reservation issues described in #8 and #13, as well as the time sensitive need for attendees to address both issues.

Browsing down the page I can only see 13 entries, I see the links to entries at the top though.. Where are the rest of the entries at the bottom?

Looks like they are missing... :S

Different result depending on browser.

IB displays all 19 and all the clickable links work.
Same for RA-OWB.
Aweb displays all 19, but only 1-14 are clickable.
Firefox/Chrome others report not even displaying 15-19.

Problem supposedly traced...

Actually #1-13 only work in Odyssey, clicking on #14 is the same as clicking #13, gets me end of page. I did try all the spoofing options, no go, have I said Odyssey is crap today yet?

@number6

check the HTML source. it has errors.

i found one in line 729 (sect24):

Quote:
(TR)(TD WIDTH="30%" BGCOLOR="#FFA500")(B)(font face="arial,helvetica" size="3" color="black") First-time exhibitor Inertial Computing at AmiWest 2015(title)(/FONT)(/B)(/TD)(/TR)(TR)(TD WIDTH="100%")

the "(title)" tag should not be there...

regards...
michael
