@wawa

Hyperion Entertainment is mentioned, in relation to OS4, in the main Amiga wiki. Also if you google Amiga the link below the highlighted wiki page is amigaos.net and one the links from that site, that appears in google, is for Hyperion Entertainment.

and you think that you out of millions of these humiliated users have the right idea to avoid internet espionage, namely to switch to cheap ppc hardware, which is obviously your proposal? especially running an os that doesnt offer any security features whatsoever and if it currently appears secure by obsolescence, it certainly would become a sitting duck as soon as it gained any bit of popularity.

you want to create a wholly new platform to compete with x86/windows along with the software pool it needs, but yet all you are apparently able to contribute to it are rather uninformed postings on forums. that wont go anywhere.. why dont you simply use linux instaed?

Third time you ascribing me things that I did not say neither ever imagined.

Frankly I couldn't care less of million windows users who don't have a clue Windows is such a meanie operating system.
They choose not to care being profiled?
So then disgrace to them.

I want a lively PPC ecologic niche and that's enough for me.

Regarding security of our Operating System, yes you are right.

In this phase that we are a little community is the "obscurity" of the OS protecting us from attacks and malicious code.
In the near future we need more robust and secure OS.

Still waiting for it tough...

For some reason it seems to be surprise for True Amigans that people in general don't think they are using the operating system but software on the operating system. It's like that people want to get shit done instead of customizing desktop and taking screenshots about it. Weird huh?

Software is useless without a well made Operating System but not than an incomplete new generation kernel surrounded with a bunch of patches to add more features all untied and not forming a logic and organic scheme.

Until OS4 will not being developed with a precise scheme in mind and presenting outrageous features like the actual memory system over 2gigabytes of memory that rivals with C64 memory expansion system or MS-Dos UMS, I think it is better keep alive old Amiga software that luckily is still useful.
