@marko & Wawa

Odyssey v1.24 also uses notifications thru Ringhio to indicate when a download has completed.

@marko

Both Amiga AMP and TuneNET use notifications...
But some people tend to think that if something isn't on their platform it must be totally useless. Or if they happen to write some software (and i hope they don't with this mindset) they might prefer to rewrite anything from scratch instead of using OS' services.

No, colourwheel was always an OS class never third party.

Are you sure? The colourwheel in OS3.5/3.9 was famous for coming from AROS, mostly in order to support truecolour if I recall correctly.

EDIT: Yes, according to AROS for example:

@kolla

The colourwheel was present in 3.0 and 3.1, though it was updated for 3.5 & 3.9 presumably from the AROS sources as stated. There are pen allocation options labelled as new for 3.5 in the Autodocs, whereas the actual colorwheel.gadget is listed as a v39 component, i.e. 3.0. Besides, it's used in a couple of the 3.0 preference programs, Pointer and Palette at least IIRC.

Edit: The Autodocs also reference a couple of bugs present prior to colorwheel.gadget v40, and calculations are carried out internally at 16-bit precision. I presume this is one of the reasons the AROS version was used for later versions of the OS.

@Daedalus

I get it now, borrowing it from AROS somehow does not mean "third party" :)

In my view, OS3.5 and upwards is crowded with third party.

@kolla

This is 3.0 with ColourWheel i believe AROS was brought in by H&P in their releases for whatever reason (probably they couldn't be bothered to update the original one).

Over the last few months, a *lot* of work has been done quietly in the background by the AmigaDeveloper.com Team. I am very grateful for their hard work and also the great work by the beta test and translation team who diligently every week assist in ensuring the software meets good standards.

The Team now numbers 21 developers and work on both the OS4 and OS3 version of the Enhancer has resulted in a more than 500 additional commits to the source code repository. Many applications, classes and libraries have been updated and there are some exciting new additions to the Enhancer Software.

OpenGL ES 2.0 library has now been extended to include Stencil buffer support for use with the new Warp3D Nova v1.27. This will no doubt be welcomed by 3D games developers who want to port OpenGL ES 2.0 games across to AmigaOS.

TuneNet has been updated now to add localisation language support. This was much requested and I hope it will please the many users that contacted me for it. It now also features an Arexx interface so it can be controlled by a Rexx script or command.

MultiViewer v2, Ringhio Notifications and X-Dock have had a lot of tweaks and changes over the last few months to meet user requests and suggestions.

We are encouraged and pleased that users are so passionate about the Enhancer Software project and the enthusiastic feedback we have received over the last few months. It is a really a positive motivational factor to help us continue investing in new software development.

Some more really good news today, the following developments were completed:

Warp3D Nova v1.28
OpenGL ES 2.0 library v1.4

The new additions are Mip Mapping to complement the recent Stencil buffer support!

Another large step forward for 3D on AmigaOS.
