Your on the wrong forum for advice, go the English Amiga Board hardware mod page, Im sure someone will help you there they do mad project like this all the time.

http://eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?f=105

however I would say a briefcase mod might be easier than trying to find a big enough laptop, which I think would be hard to find or do.

@1Mouse

If you want to use it with batteries you can easily invest over 100€ and get less than 60 minutes of battery run time.

Check what you really want and what you can build or buy.

A DIY compact portable computer is much easier than a Laptop that should run more than 2 hours on batteries.

There are a lot of DIY Laptop projects on the internet, they can't help you with you Sam specific problems but they solved a lot of problems with their hardware.

@OneTimer1

He's scrapped the idea since it's a lot more work than he had initially hoped.

@all

Well part 2 is ready https://blitterwolf.blogspot.co.uk/2016/11/amiga-laptop-emma-part-2.html , remember this is just my experiences and doesn't include a step by step guide by me.

I am just doing this because I have always wanted an Amiga laptop and I like the idea of A.L.I.C.E. but not the possible price tag.
