@broadblues

Technicaly speaking this is not that hard If you teach networks 3 days à week;) i certainly could not write the code for sketchblock or painting apps because i don't have a clue how to;)
Ambitious it is due to the lack of time
This is how i use my amigas : learning
And this Always was the case on the past.

You'll have also to know that i introduce the concepts compiler linker to students by using winuae os3 and dice c compiler.
Better than a long course about compilation.

To some others
And yes i complained about one thing that makes me loose precious time i'm guilty.
Where's ssh?

@DC_Edge

and the first part of your response to the OP was great. And on point.

But the OP asked in the thread to not express complaining but creating ...

BTW, you have every right to complain, if you must just start your own thread....

@Thread

I'm using Deluxe Paint V for animation. I am inspired again by Eric Schwartz's latest masterpiece:

@broadblues

When it's done my friend

It will be far more impressive when it is ...

A) Finished
B) Synced with the music

I could provide you with some old flight animations I did as a teenager but the new one has far more scope for creativity and it is also my own music arranged and sampled on Music Generator 2 on the PS2. That program reminded me of the Amiga in many ways with Codemasters even making a USB microphone/Line-in sampler for it! Did you know the Sony PS2 had 48 channels of sound and it's great to use the game console creatively

@broadblues

Although due to an event in my personal life, my summer holiday is turning out to be very busy, I have managed to find some time to work on my favourite Amiga activity - hacking together little scripts to enhance WB functionality.

I've added a context menu item that iconified the active window. I found a nice little program on one of the older WB release discs that does this.

The next step is to write another pair of scripts that can iconify all open windows, and then uniconify them.

Iconify is fairly easy; I modified the CloseAllDrawers arexx script. Uniconifying may be harder...

This has been complicated by my discovery of a Commodity AmiSnap which does the same trick, only with a nice little animation. Haven't investigated too much on how it could replace Iconify.

Hi!

I am currently working on a video subtitle editor. A week ago I found a video and an incorrectly timed subtitle file. I had to adjust the timings, so I started to create a tool for it. After fulfilled my current goal it cannot stop and I found that it is growing with more and more features.

Currently it has an embedded video player linked with the subtitle list. You can add new subtitles, edit timing. You can shrink/stretch subtitles precisely to the video by setting some links to the correct scene.

I am working on some polishment and have to create some docs before release.

Here is a screenshot:

@broadblues

I just uploaded a translation of AmiUpdate to os4depot. Maybe not much compare to what the pro's in this thread are doing but I try to contribute as much as I can.

@broadblues
I have create a program for a Company I work for.
The prg calculate something for CNC based machines and for make it more easy and faster to tweak CNC machines in production line.

I have programmed it in C on Amiga OS4.1 and port it to Android...
Very easy C programme but very easy and safe to use..
I was boring to see people keep on with calculators too longtime and even want to make some different and more reliable calculations than people often do with vanilla standard calculator.

Only Amiga makes it possible, hahah

@kamelit0

Word already exists for Amiga. Up to version 4 if I recall correctly (maybe 5).
As such, porting Word1 seems a bit redundant. :)

Hi. Last thing I did with my 'Amiga' has been editing new Magellan toolbar buttons for Icaros Desktop. Did it all with GrafX2 under Icaros itself.

@broadblues

Another burst of non prgramming usage for me, being just back from France and having recording most of the sessions played, I've been editing / mixing the results, working towards a possible live CD. Depends how much good material I end up with.

Intial recording was in Ardour on my linix laptop using my 8x8 MAudio Ultra USB sound "card". (even if we had an AmigaOS laptop, multitrack recording wold be an issue!). Then I 've exported the stems and imported into Audio Evolution on my SAM Flex and have been mixing in that. Being quite familar with using AE I'm getting quite reasonable results.

Inevitably live recording at gigs results in variable amounts of isolation between intruments, and I found adding the audio recorded on my phone (as part of some video) made helpful addtion to the audio srcs. Audio was extacted from the videos and resampled from 48000 to 44100 to match the main tracks using the ubiquitous FfmpegGUI (on the x1k in the case).

I've edited up two videos from the gigs, using blender and SketchBlock for titling.

Here they are:

The Walker Broad Band playing Wild Women by Ida Cox.

https://youtu.be/u6qVMHfzqRg

Burnt Ice playing Sweet Little Angel by BBKing

https://youtu.be/7Ews7UoLzZo

Also been working on a digital painting of my oldest band Burnt Ice who will have been together 30 years this september. Not quite ready to post the work results of that, maybe add it later

@broadblues

So here's the finished digital painting.

Next job is to create poster and ticket designs from it for the 30th anniversary gig in September.

Most likely in Wordworth 7 on the SAM.
