SoOLVED New Problem with google drive handler

Hi. I have an issue with the google drive handler (68k).
When I installed the handler (i tried both google drive and cloud handlers) following all the instructions, typing "list GOOGLE:" in the shell the program responds with a message "no tcp/ip stack running" (then goes with a task/held error). I use AmiTCP v30b2. I see in the eab forum that even with EasyNet users seems to have the same error. Is there anyone who uses the cloud handlers with amitcp based tcp/ip staks (or someone who has some clues about how to resolve)?
The author said that the handlers should work with every tcp-ip stacks..
My amiga is a A1200 with 030, 16mb fast ram running os 3.1
Thank You

@DrProcton

I use it on my SAM460ex with Roadshow, maybe you can try the demo and see if it works for you.

@jabirulo

I haven't tried personally, but from what I see in the forums seems that the handlers have no problems with miami, miamidx and roadshow. But with AmiTCP -based stacks give the "no tcp/ip stack running" problem. So I would know if someone with that kind of tcp stacks is using the handlers, maybe with some configuration of amitcp it works..

@DrProcton

did you follow all steps to install/configure googleDrive? Isn't the some kind of log option so you can check where it fails (apart the no tcp/ip stack found? Try SnoopDOS to see where it fails.

Maybe you post your problem here (guy having apparently same issue but with Dropbox handler):

@jabirulo

I'm sure I did the installation of the handlers correctly. I'll try with snoopdos, it's a good idea. I see the post on amiga.org forum, but even if i'm registered to the site (i tried the registration with 2 mails), I'm not allowed to post in their forum (never received a mail after confirmation), so I could not reply, even if the user klx300 on amiga.org forum seems to have the same problem I have..

@DrProcton

Maybe the reply email to the amiga.org registration went to your spam folder.

@jabirulo

Yes, the confirmation mail arrived (in spam), but once confirmed the mail, it goes to a message on the board that says that an ulterior mail should arrive once the administrators of the board "accept" the admission to the forum. That message never arrived (neither in spam), so after a week I made a second registration (idem). So now I can log in the amiga.org site with 2 accounts, but i cannot post in the forum because I've no permission. 😁

ok PPC over at amiga.org is suggesting it might be an old bsdsocket.library which only resides in RAM?

my version is v3.24 SO how can I get the latest bsdsocket.library???

@klx300r

I found a version 4.1of bsdsocket.library inside amiga-forever's 3.x hd workbench directory , but maybe the amitcp 4 demo (aminet) could have that library inside. Or the roadshow demo (as said by the user at amiga.org). I don't think the library have the time limit of the demo (never heard about a time limited library), maybe extracting the library from the demo and putting the file in the libs: directory will work without problem..I will try tomorrow

...mm.. in the amitcp 3 and 4, and genesis demos from aminet the library is not present.. that library seems to be more of an operating system thing. I will try to de-archive the roadshow demo as said by the user at amiga.org (hope to find the library there. If not I will try the amiga forever 3.x version).

Ok, I tried some things.
1- putting another version of bsdsocket.library in my libs: directory doesn't change the version of the library opened by amitcp. (my version of bsdsocket.library is the 3.28). Having the library or not having the library at all seems to be irrilevant to Amitcp as SysInfo continues to open the library version 3.28 even if there is no bsdsocket.library in Libs:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

2- Using SnoopDos during the operation gave me some other interesting infos:
After typing "list GOOGLE:" ..the infamous "No TCP/IP stack running" message

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

after clicking the "OK" button:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

From that it seems that after reading the client_code (and I'm sure my code is typed correctly)
the program tried to access the two other files (access and refresh tokens) without success.
I think it is not a problem of the bsdsocket libray..

If there is someone in this forum that can give me other suggestion on how to resolve this error I will be very pleased..

I still continue experimenting..
Tried to install amiSSL4 (I didn't have any amiSSL intalled in my hard drive).
Put cardpatch & cardreset in my startup-sequence (I have a pcmcia wifi dongle)

No resuls for now.. always the "no tcp/ip stack running" message.. aaarghh...

@DrProcton

That's almost Dr Proton.

I suspect the AmiTCP bsdsocket.library is still being loaded. If you have Roadshow you might want to try if AmiTCP has an uninstaller. Or disable any lines in User-Startup. If the Roadshow one is in LIBS it should come up first unless something else looks for the AmiTCP one first.

@klx300r

I decided to purchase roadshow as you did. Tomorrow I will try if it works with my prism2 pcmcia wifi card and google drive handler. Is roadshow difficult to configure with prism2?? For amitcp there was a video tutorial on youtube..

@DrProcton

can't comment on a wifi adapter as i'm using an x-surf100 via. a zorro slot in my amiga 4000 but i can confirm that installation was very straight forward and i only had to enter my domain ip and subnet mask etc in a configure file which was laid out nicely in the docs

oh and like i said in my previous post you must not forget to disable amitcp or any other tcp/ip stack in the user startup

good luck!

btw, just noticed that I can't upload to my Dropbox from my amiga as it says I need to register my keyfile but my keyfile is already in my devs:cloud folder?? anyhow that's a minor issue for me as I mainly use it to transfer files to my Amiga and not vice-versa

@klx300r

Ok, I configured roadshow and now i connect to my google drive, but even my keyfile seems to be missing even if I had purchased from the author (or maybe I did something wrong). My keyfile was mailed as a .zip file that contains a keyfile.jpg (??) and a __MACOSX folder that contains anoter ._keyfile.jpg ???
Is the same for You?

(UPDATE: I mailed the vedor of my keyfile (distrita) asking for that problem. Let's see..)
