If you don't want to be an (April) fool then make use of this GoG offer and play it for 1.79 on a platform other than the one Daniel Musshener shackled himself to over 5 years ago! He has sacrificed a lot of time and effort already and will continue to push things forward in his spare time for no reward but with that track record maybe he should apply to be a consultant for the A1222 Plus 'deliverance' team?

@Templario

Maybe if you could look at your constant whining and complaining from the perspective of other people, you would better understand the harsh answers and attitude you are receiving from the author of Wings? Or maybe you are still the child you appear to act like in your forum messages.

It isn't going to be Daniel, or other forum members who agree with him that are going to be alone in this hobby, so try looking in the mirror and growing up before you embarrass yourself further with more forum posts (just a suggestion which is meant to help you, though I'm sure you won't be mature enough to see it that way).

So I prepaid for this thing years ago and I guess that money is probably lost. Lesson learned, and I will never do anything like this again.

But, meantime, I have now moved to a new address. On the slim chance this product I bought ever does come out, to whom should I send a notification of my change of address? Thanks.

Stop talking bullcrap, Daniel has explained the situation with Wings Remastered over and over! It's not his fault.

While you wait I recommend Daniels port of Tower 57!
Now shut up and drink! Cheers! ;)

I don't care whose fault it is. But somebody took my money many years ago.

@amigadave

I believe our common and dearest among the dearest of friends Templario should grab this unique chance and offer all disgruntled Wings Remastered buyers
a free copy of his magnus opus!

@mbrantley

Pre payment of $55 yeah that's steep!
But as I said Daniel is just the coder, don't know how much he got out of Tower 57
since his paycheck was tip on the sideof every order sadly.

So...

Watch out for Daniels new football(yes european soccer) game in developement!

The preorder price was the main reason why I gave the Wings Remastered a miss back then. I try to support native software as much as I can, I buy pretty much every OS4 game released despite not being a gamer. But given the extremely bad reputation of preorders in the Amiga land, asking this much almost felt like an insult.

Its 1.79 on GoG for the PC version now people! Those with PCs or BootCamp partitions should cut our losses!

This whole ongoing venture is just to save face now and economically foolish considering it was a Unity based game with no hope of much of the game engine or 3D models being usable in their original state! I guess hindsight is a great thing but porting of tools should be prioritised by AmigaKit/Matthew before these massive porting projects are taken on by well meaning but overworked and taken for granted Amiga developers!

Well done Daniel for Tower57, you are a legend but maybe you took on more than you could chew this time?

@Thread

I bought it for 1.84 / $2.43!

Bargain and one less reason to invest in a A1222 Plus! It's great how an Amiga forum now motivates me to buy PC software so that I don't have to read more of these pointless threads regarding software and machines that will seemingly never be delivered!

There was a whole seminar at an Amiga30 event about this bloody game!!! We only live once!

Buy it (not pre-order but actually own it) yourself here on PeeCee:

https://www.gog.com/game/wings_remastered

For the record this would have made a great launch/bundled game for the A1222 5 years ago but it's 2021 now! It would seemingly be quicker for Daniel to knock up a remake/tribute version in Dreams on the PS4/5 than ever complete the AmigaOne: Albatross Edition! I wish him luck but now I don't have to care.

For the record I helped Kickstart Tower57, loved supporting and hearing from Marco Pappalardo with the developer updates and yet have only ever played it on my Mac! Sorry, Daniel is obviously very talented using the SPE to get decent frame rates on the Tabor but what's the point if we can't buy one? He deserves better support from those with big cheque books!

It really does feel like we shouldn't support Amiga software development right now because the ones that hold the reigns don't support the guys doing the work (other than AmigaKit who do some coding themselves)! Hyperion don't seem to pay their coders and CinemaWare (if they are anything other than a shell company) seem to have put some AmigaNG pre-order money aside to pay Daniel but he hasn't taken any yet!!! Surely they could have forwarded him some money by now guilt free? Wasn't there a demo; perfect time to pay him something? Heck even my favourite publisher after Team17 left; ClickBoom treated Ablaze (Napalm) and other Amiga developers who worked with them appallingly so maybe this is a habit?
