@kolla

Well, if you have any tangible info that you want to share, I wouldnt mind reading it.

"may" is very vague.

And this still does not explain why V600v2 boards need to be registered ...

Just a guess:

Vampire cards for A500 and A600 might rely on the same schematics, when someone is spreading Eagle files (schematics) it might be possible for everyone cloning the boards.

@OneTimer1

actually igor was supposed to open up the hardware itself.
however if the core needs to remain closed, it requies some licensing mechanism, otherwise it would run on open or cloned hardware without the team gaining any royalties from this procedere. thus registration. seems legit.

Then why the hoopla about "leaked" eagle files?

@Overflow

The tangible information is that there is information about us stored somewhere/somehow within the team. For example, I did not have to register my V500v2 - what does that imply? That my card and information about me is already registered? If so, when did I approve for information about me to be stored beyond what was related to the actual sale of the card? How long will that information be stored? Who is that information shared with? Does the team care about GDPR compliance? What if I sell the card?

The files where stolen, and it doesn't matter if it was intended to publish them or not.

Possible answers:
- You where lazy.
- You where not asked to do it.
- You did not like to do it.

To be hones, you could give this answer by yourself.

Maybe a secret force built from the Illuminati, NWO and the Spanish Inquisition had done this for you.

Maybe during the last eclipse when Saturn was in opposition with Pluto

It will be stored for ever, and used as an evidence against you on judgement day.

It was shared with the NSA because they have a copy of everything.

The German Democratic Police Regiment will take care if it.

They will find you, drag you out of your bad and bring you to a secret boot camp in Bielefeld.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bielefeld_Conspiracy

you have only one chance, get rid of the card as fast as possible.

Since I didn't register, should it not only have black and white output?
It doesn't, it runs 2.7 core with full colours and no restrictions, despite not being registered by me.

@kolla
The whitelists currently include known serial numbers whether registered or not but not all unregistered legitimate serial numbers where available when the whitelists were compiled.

Perhaps the following lyrics will explain:

We built this Vampire, we built this Vampire on rock an' roll
Built this Vampire, we built this Vampire on rock an' roll

Say you don't know me, or recognize my face
Say you don't care who goes to that kind of place
Knee deep in the hoopla, sinking in your fight
We got too many runaways eating up the night
