@OlafS25

I know, meaning that Ben has very little cards to put in the table since Hyperion owns #### all.

@number6

Where is any information about Cloanto getting anything 2009 at the time of settlement?

I am a little confused now

As I understand it the lawsuit between Cloanto and Hyperion is about Hyperion breaking the settlement by selling 68k stuff (roms and the 3.1.4 series) because Cloanto thinks that the settlement only allowed Hyperion to use 3.1 sources as base for 4.X whereas Hyperion interprets the settlement as a general allowance to do anything with 3.1

Checking here from time to time to see progress. But, since Ben ended settlement discussions does that mean no more progress? Or simply, back to court?

Oh, Timothy!

Oh, oh, Timothy!

Oh, such heart-sinking candor!

And so, our good friend de Groote was a just a guy who one days showed up at Hyperion's door begging to be a beta tester for a game they were porting.

And then Ben, being the manipulative vermin he is, saw through his candor and convinced him to be the figurehead, legal and fiscal lightning rod for that bag of filth, debt and lies that Hyperion is.

Well done unshackling yourself from the depths of hell, friend Timothy!

Back to some quiet intoxication away, away from the poisonous spotlight of the Amiga conventions. No more blathering in front of a crowd of balding greybeards in colorful shirts bursting at their seams for you!

MEGA! (RJM)

Compulsory dissolution or nullification

ejustice legal doc concerning same

Judicial liquidator appointed.

To be clear, this is Ben's business entity...not Hyperion Entertainment cvba.

@MEGA_RJ_MICAL

If this is true then well you know…
“Mr. Timothy De Groote … and is also a local board member [253] of Vlaams Belang, a right-wing populist and Flemish nationalist political party [256].”

@kamelito

I am sure that there are also Afd, Trump or left wing communist and environmentalist party supporters involved in the Amiga in way or another. But I fail to see what this has to do with the amiga hobby.

Conflating AfD, Trump, and "left wing communist" shows that you don't understand either.

Always a good reminder...

Take care,

It was a listing of what some people perceive as extreme elements just like that Belgian party. Funny that you skipped the environmentalists. (Not implying anthing, just an observation.) But you apparently failed to understand that intent. So time to look into the mirror yourself for a change.
Anyways you are entitled to your opinion. Doesn't make it true though.

Regarding your link: Some consider diversity preachers also as extemists. But I'm sure that you don't agree either. . Some guy writing a book is no universal truth. Just a confirmation of your own bias.

But I still fail to see what this has anything to do with the amiga hobby. Or will your linked book clearify that?

It could mean that...

1. Ben will have a big tax bill *
2. Hyperion legal fee payments can't be used as easily to buy newly issued Hyperion stock
3. Ben's business and legal activities will be more closely scrutinized by regulators and courts
4. Ben won't be buying the drinks at the next round of Amiga negotiations and negotiating may be easier

* Tax rates in Belgium are some of the highest in Europe. If the rumored amount owed is 395,000€ and is taxed as income and if Ben's income was already above €41,060 (likely for a lawyer)...

395,000€ x 0.50 = 197,500€ owed

if taxed as a business...

395,000€ x 0.25 = 98,750€ owed

Tell you what weather Ben wins or loses he could make a great book about what went down.
