The release date is in the product name, 12/22. I hope it's released in 2019 instead of 2022. _________________ Sent from my Quantum Computer. |

Not for a second did I think the post had deliberate errors. But it was over-zealous and over-optimistic, which did more harm then good in the end.

Since a "hope" was expressed way back in March about being able to use the Amiga.com website to distribute some information, and since that was "prevented", I'm sure he's attending the show as his means to commuincate with everyone in attendance. We'll see.
@all
Yeah, repeats, but I've been told to repeat things since posts tend to get lost at busy times here.
AmiWest 2019 show schedule
AmiWest 2019 broadcast page
More info to come about a/v testing, irc channels for discussion, etc. once everyone has arrived at the show later today.

32 bit / 64bit / 128 bit data type unions for portability. Dangerous SHIFTS need to be thoroughly documented and made portable.
The DMA API needs to have an abstract data type/class structure, which can identify hardware ID + feature list of the hardware.
This way all the user needs is to request DMA access, if the hardware is in the list, its features/capabilities are detected and the DMA is done.
The user just needs recommended design pattern to use, hide most boiler plate code.
So one could just request DoDMA( a, b, pattern list); and forget about it.
The internals are hidden.
Advanced forms could be used to process DATA eg DATA merge. Or to convert (delegate data job) or compute 3D geometry adding more 'compute' channels while in transit.
It would be very interesting and advantage to Amiga how it would handle 4K digital image / video processing using advanced algorithms.
Let the hardware work smarter.

You keep asking that!
Trevor's talk is still a few hours in the future...
Edit: So now we know: "soon"
Probably not the answer you were looking for. Last edited by bison on 26-Oct-2019 at 07:56 PM.

| @RobertB Thank you so much !! Beautiful work.

Trevor has an unique opportunity to film the creation of the AmigaOne Tabor computer. Documenting facts, the obsticals and each golden success at each stage.
By using real developers we are recording Amiga history and all that contributed, for generations to come.
The AmigaOne Tabor Adventures series 1 (24+ episodes) could be given to production companies & generate an income.
Most of the technical documentation could be recorded on video.
A life cycle methodolgy could be use for the electrical engineering side :
Elecrical engineering students could be tasked to try to recreate A Tabor like system, testing knowledge, filling holes in hardware documentation.
All this could also be used as a form of an Electrical Engineering course for Amiga like systems and could be invaluable in creating a new skilled AmigaOne workforce.
Every person working on a project could contribute a few chapters to record as much documentation as possible and recreate a new A-EON most Advanced Tabor Reference Manual Collection, the world has ever seen.
Want to be part of Amiga History ?

Yes, I heard that from others.
You could go back as far as Steven Solie's talk only.
Trevor was several hours earlier. They took a rather long break. Likely this is related to some limit I'm unaware of.

| @number6: Ok, thank you. So I know at least, that I am not the only one, who couldn´t see Trevors speech.
