You can, but the original Broadcom source for MIPS is no good for PowerPC.

What we need is the version of CFE P.A.Semi ported to the Electra. Or rather, the CFE they hacked onto the Electra. It's very customised, as the user interface is CFE but internally it's running Open firmware.

Or, just replace it with UBoot, as has been suggested. Which looks funny as people hated UBoot back in the day of the first AmigaOne.

I don't know as it should be run from rom memory space. Suppose it's possible to load a dev build in. But it would need to reset the hardware again when it loads. CFE does have size limits for loading. But a CFE Elf image shouldn't be that big.

Yes, FFS filesystem, and RDB support.
