If my daughter wants to be a model I'd support her. If she wanted to promote Codemasters at E3 ditto. If she wanted to hold a parasol over an F1 car at the British Grand Prix ditto. She has professed her own faith in Jesus Christ and I'd trust her to make the right decision.

If she want to mock oppressive burqas by wearing a check version I'd see it as unwise and I'd prefer her to hand out Bibles and share the good news of Jesus Christ with the muslims. At least the risk would be worth it then rather than just making a statement!

I seem to recall that worked out really well back in the middle ages. In any case, you're likely to find they already know about Jesus. They just don't see him the same way you do.

They don't understand who He was then do they? They actually think Jesus swapped with Judas on the cross! I can't see how they arrived at that. I guess revenge plays better than self sacrifice in that culture but a whopping error in accuracy on their part!

The point is, trying to tell any devout Muslims that you know better about Christ than they do is a non starter. Consider the starting point. For Muslims, the "oneness" of God is absolutely fundamental as is the notion that said God has not and would not ever "become man" or any other aspect of "creation" for any purpose, whatsoever. Period. For Muslims, worshipping anything other than God is pretty much the greatest sin possible since it's the only one directed specifically at denying God's unique oneness. According to Islam, Jesus was a prophet, as flesh and blood as any other, charged with the same mission as those before him to warn people against false idols etc. The specific criticism of Christianity in Islam is that Christians began to worship Jesus and conflate him with God, turning him into an idol, which is pretty much as off the rails as it gets.

It doesn't matter if you try to bring this message by invading and massacring left right and centre like the first crusades or standing there all "love and feels", it's the message itself that's the problem.
