Replied to a news thread at www.amigaworld.com & then clicked on "home", took me to home at amigaworld.com.
Seems all the links at the top of the home page take you to the old site. Last edited by sundown on 22-Apr-2011 at 04:05 AM.

the "Threaded view" works now better but it looked better in the old version.
I think that the posts with text at the end in this example are wrong. Maybe you should take a look at the old version.
Don't forget the "< ="-bug, it may be serious. (see bug report)

Editing a post creates a duplicate post, if the edited post is previewed prior to submitting.
This only seems to happen after editing, then previewing, then submitting. Just editing and submitting does not create a duplicate post.

Thank you for that, allowed us to finally track down the bug that was causing the incorrect reply count!
I believe this is fixed now_________________ --- Sibbi

| @sibbi Post 570here broke the layout for the next comments, I assume it's missing quote end tag.
A proposal:
What about adding "broken layout" & similar issues to "report post"? |

Already reported. I think it will get addressed after the migration issues are attended to. Affectionately, we call it a "hanging quote". Heh.
Testing Edit. Testing Edit with preview.

I can't fix it, don't have mod privileges, it's waiting for the attention of a moderator. _________________ --- Sibbi

I don't think this is a new issue, but since we're going over some things:
(1)Click any news link (2)Go to right "related links" and click "more news about [category]" (3)It just refreshes the AW home page, while I would expect it to perhaps show a news listing relating to the specific category. (4)Same panel. Click on "News by [submitter]" just goes to a profile of the submitter and again, not to what I would expect, a listing of news BY that submitter.
Another issue with news. Might also be a longstanding one: AW home page/Menu/News http://www.amigaworld.net/modules/news/archive.php Clicking on any archive there just refreshes the page.

Let me clarify that one by example. Currently under recent topics: http://www.amigaworld.net/modules/lastposts
Niburu thread shows 513 replies. Thread total posts=replies+1, since initial post in every thread is never counted as a reply. I see 532 replies atm. Also seeing the last page only showing again, after you click on the thread, and NOT in the listing on the recent topic page.

There was bug that caused the reply count to be wrong, actually two seperate ones.
They are both fixed, but they needed manual fixing to repair the damage.
I fixed the front page forums last night, but i went through the entire lastposts list now and fixed every single one to bring it in line with the actual replies.
I also put in some code in the lastposts to not display every single page of the thread, but just the first three, and the last one, like it does in the viewforums page, that reduces the crazy width of that page, and brings it in line with the other pages.

Outstanding job. Thanks very much. Looks SO much better.

| I still have a problem accessing the news archive. Clicking any month in the archive just refreshes the page with the list of months. No news is actually listed for the month selected.
I've tried this in IBrowse, OWB, Firefox and Chrome and get the same results.
Also, despite the recent thread I still can't find/see the insert news item icon. Duh!

The event calendar can't be advanced past the current month, so no entries can be made. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid... |
