@Karlos

He might have Sam460 (not 660, such model does not exist) but I strongly doubt he has a PiStorm. Anyway, I somehow feel sorry for him. Looking at the cycles where he appears on AW.net and looking at the way his grammar in English degrades quire regularly I thin he has some mental issues which come and go...

I remember him from few foums in Polish language (his native tongue) and his skills in Polish are better only by a tiny fraction.

Or maybe the moderation on aw.net is actually working and he gets banned after his activity periods ;)

@Karlos

some time ago there was a big comparation where people made a benchmark (graphic file was converted) where I beated all PPC related hardware (except X1000) with 68k and winuae. And now PCs are even faster. Nonbody except him compares NG hardware with 68k hardware, it is totally different. NG was targetting mainstream platforms so you must compare it with a current PC.

But everybody can use what he or she likes

@OlafS25

There were a bunch of benchmarks over on EAB that were triggered in part by a set of Lightwave (68K) render times for a set scene. In those tests, the PiStorm was killing it. Here is the original Lightwave test results that sparked it all.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_VxGqSt2fMQbDxdZNO-SvA5Th0gfgp3n/view?usp=sharing

In this test, the PiStorm with Pi4B was just over twice as fast as the Peg-II G4 1GHz running OS 4.1. The Pi3 equipped PiStorm was similar or maybe a bit faster than the same Peg-II.

So colour me skeptical when he makes unsubstantiated claims that his Sam is faster than the RPi.

Raytracing is an interesting benchmark because it's computationally heavy, branch heavy and memory heavy. The only faster times on the sheet were from UAE, and while I have no doubt you may get better out of a G5 Mac, X1000 or above, let's face it, as an expansion for a classic machine, nothing ticks the price/performance/compatibility checkboxes as good. It's completely in league of it's own.

@ppcamiga1

Stop trolling and make OS4 as good as MacOSX or ppc Linux.
It is your duty.

@ppcamiga1

Why add ppc to pc hardware (Im going to guess you're stupid to understand where via 686b sth bridge comes from, who invented pci, agp and pci express)?

Oh so ZUNE will reach 100% MUI 3.8 compatibility?
Can some bounties help?
Will ZUNE code be shared with x64, PPC32 and m68k versions?

I would hope so, the thing with mui is all those extra libs who exist outside of MUI

They are already, Zune is use in all AROS builds already

Can I donate to make that faster?

I have two probs with AROS

- Gunnar use it without backporting to community, should be warned
- There are no native drivers for modern x64 so I have to Linux host it,
plus MUI apps dont work well. Can MUI4 illegal Hyperion be backported,
or OS3 port be used?

DeepComputing's RISC-V mainboard for Framework 13 laptop form factor.

PS; I already have Framework 13 AMD laptop.

@Hammer

Can some advanced ARM board run, after 29 years of PPC Amiga

- ARM Linux hosted AROS x64 ARM
- Add those Linux ScalOS ARM libs
- Add System5x as DOS and WB
- Add optimized A600GS and PiStorm ARM oomponent in AmiKit XE
- Add no brothers income

So baby, can ARM time be done?

It can be done and Qualcomm Elite X ARMv8 clone laptops are available. Qualcomm Elite X's mobile phone GPU is weak sauce.

You have A600GS... Perhaps that's the path they're choosing

Nope, if I buy it, some KL people will say I refunded OS 4.2 as money grabber.

Even Serbs can import $200 black box with weak ARM board.
