Short version: They don't have their act together (yet?) and hence didn't get a board.

@Kronos

I am aware of that public comment from Costel. There is another which alludes to difficulties straightening out the issues of "former" management (in a different thread.)

Credit where credit is due. At least there is an attempt to lay out the situation to the public here.

From Discord and Mirari home page:

The T1042 has been taken to the test when it comes to overclocking capabilities. Harald managed to get it running stable at 1.6 GHz instead of the stock 1.4 GHz.

@number6

Not much different from PowerPC 7448's clock speed range.

Both PowerPC 7448 and e5500 have a seven-stage pipeline.

NXP still treats 128-bit SIMD as a premium feature instead of being a standard feature.

I'm aware of https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/supporting-information/DWF13_QorIQ_Portfolio_Whats_New_SanJose.pdf

One nice feature of the Mirari board is a sizable Trion FPGA. It is intended for audio and glue logic but can likely be used for other purposes too.

Trion FPGAs' logic density can range from 4K to 120K logic elements (LEs).

From https://amiga-news.de/pics/M/mirari/7.png
It looks to be T8Q144 with 7384 LEs.

How can it be when they no longer pay developers? They are reliant, it seems, on a pay day from Retro Games Limited from a bundling deal for OS3.2.x with THEA1200 which won't be forthcoming because RGL can just use Cloanto's OS3.1 OS! Madness!

The only ones who can speak to that are those directly involved.

Since the Mirari blog is titled:
Quote:
The Next-Gen Mainboard Designed with AmigaOS4 and MorphOS in mind

I'm sure Dave would post any factual information in relation to your question there.

@AmigaMac

Yeah? Well we were all excited about the Amy '05 announcement too weren't we? I've got that talk on a MiniDisc somewhere! The poor saps at the show saw Troika's none functioning prototype board! At least A-EON have produced working hardware!

On a similar note, is there an update on the OpenPPC laptop project? Forget it, life is too short! RIP PPC.

I shouldn't have looked! Simply soul destroying!

https://www.powerpc-notebook.org/2025/05/strategic-change-by-2025-lets-do-whatever-it-takes-to-achieve-at-least-a-desktop-version/

...and even if they ever get it to boot it would still need Hyperion to port AmigaOS and drivers...pain, pain, anguish, agony, pain!

Playing it a bit fast and loose with that description?

@agami

Did the Amy '05 prototype EVER boot? A bit like the OpenPPC laptop it was an expensive door stop! Eyetech, ACube and A-EON have always produced working boards!

Dunno, for me the whole Troika thing was in the same place as the Escena-A1, Oli_HD's ColdFire and Iwin.

A Bermuda triangle of scams, trolling and utter incompetence.

AW has a thread for vaporware if you care to continue to discuss projects that never materialized.

Help compile giant list of Amiga hardware vapor

Back to topic.

I think this is sign that Mirari has acheived some more recognition:
