@mrsad

I suppose its seeing what could be done on a standard A1200 a few years back compared to even some of the latest PC demos released!

@ All

Those people who have Radeon 7000 on their A1's, have you noticed that the graphics id distorted on 640X480 screen resolutions?

This demo uses that screen prefs and all the graphics are kind of distorted. At first I thought it was the effects used in the demo, but even 640X480 WB screen is distorted!

I had problems with my 7000 when installing OS4-pre (highly distorted graphics). But I managed to install. After installation, 800X600 and 1024X768 are fine!

Is it what everybody else is experimecing, or is it just me?

Firbodi

"Those people who have Radeon 7000 on their A1's, have you noticed that the graphics id distorted"

No it looks fine here. I have a Radeon 7000 VE 32MB.
I use a 1024x768 32bit screenmode on a 15" TFT monitor.
I didn't change the screenmode before running the demo.

I have never had the 'heatwave' effect either, but do have other problems with the Radeon driver such as resets not working properly.

@firbodi

My 640 x 480 modes are messed up too. I have a Saphire Radeon 7500.
According to Forefront Technologies, this is fixed in the latest driver, so hopefully it'll be supplied in the next OS4 update.

@firbodi

Same, for me on my Radeon 9100, the 640x480 modes are a bit poor!!

I'm almost amazed of all this talk about this one demo, there is never that much fuzz when a morphos demo gets released, and they are much better.. Anyway, nice to finally have a demo for my amigaone too, nice work by universe.

@amigamagia

Umm... maybe because the people here as a whole don't use Morphos or have an interest in it (although a few do have both). If you look back a few months, you will find threads on other forums with just as much enthusiasm by others when the first MorphOS demo was release, and all the talk of them sponsoring the demo community, etc.

I also wouldn't get excited about a demo on MacOS or Windows. But this is about the very first AmigaOne/OS4 demo, so let's just keep this on topic, and leave Morphos for their own site. Not too hard to understand now, is it?

@Herewegoagain

Oh, I didn't mean that I was surprised people here didn't show any interrest for morphos demos, I had the morphos forums in mind. Maybe there was more interrest in the beginning as you say, but maybe it is true that amigaone has all the users and pegasos all the developers. :)

I just think it is nice with all the discussion around amigaone and its progress, I think my pegasos and the morphos forums is a bit boring these days..

Cheers!

This is not the first time I've heard this .. It's ironic, isn't it?!
(I'm not suggesting that there aren't any developers for OS4, cos I know there are. But still .. )

@amigamagia

Dude, of course there's a lot of excitement around the _first_ demo on a new platform. I don't think the _second_ or _tenth_ will get that much attention. And try to keep the mud throwing off this forum in the future. I'm no longer a part of the team, but I live pretty close to Kongsberg and could very likely track you down if you don't behave

@amigamagia

It's the number one that will be remembered in the history books.

Since this is the first demo on AmigaOne, all the fuzz is justified, as allready mentioned in the thread

Hi tomazkid,

"It's the number one that will be remembered"

It's THREE number One's:

It took Number One spot in the contest
It's demo no. 1
And on Amiga #1

AmigaOne! Pre-AOS4.0! The potential has yet to emerge!

@olegil

what mud throwing? I'd guess I only insulted morphos users.. :)

Anyway, I have no clue which demo was the first demo on pegasos and don't really care that much either.. So for my part I'm looking much more forward to the 10th amigaone demo than the first. ;)

Where are you from? :) We are at least 2 amigaone users in Kongsberg...

@Atheist

I think I can answer those for you....

1) Yes, Amigamagia has an AmigaOne
2) I don't think he meant anything by that... but rather was just making an observation by our cheering.
2) ooops... I already did that one!

3) Yes, he also has a Pegasos.

No problem, I think we are all saying the same thing in different ways.

Hehe, if you can't figure that out you don't deserve knowing. You have my name, a quick search on google would give you my work address
