@AmiDog

Great news! You rock! Its fantastic that we have the latest version; so often Amiga ports of emulators and utilities are a few versions behind the latest...

Is there any chance your changes could be merged into the official VICE sources, so they can appear on the viceteam.org page? I think it would be good publicity for OS4

Many for your continuing effort. Now I have no reason to hold back purchasing a USB joystick to my A1

@WOSPUPOS4

I'm an OS4 betatester. It's been a while since I last tried VICE on my BPPC (603e'200), but it ran quite well as I remember it. I could make some speedtests if you like, but as VICE is very clever and only emulate what's currently in use, the speed will depend on things like the need to emulate the diskdrive, how advanced VIC-tricks the current game/demo uses etc. VICE can also be made faster by using the fast SID emulation...

@freaks

I can recommend games such as Turrican 1/2/3, Wizball, Creatures 1/2, Rainbow Island, Bubble Bobble, Commando, Myth, Last Ninja 1/2/3... Read about games at Lemon64 and get then at www.c64.com for example.

Or just try some demos (or the very good Pinball Dreams preview) from Breakpoint 2006. The releases are available here (or were yesterday, but seems to be down currently). You might want to try pouet.net instead. (This 4k intro is really amazing.)

Just wanted to hear if it worked ok. wos versions of c64 emulators works very good so i wondererd if the OS4 version is de speedizezed.

Great update! Why not make a news item about such releases? I almost missed it! Not everyone reads the forums.

Hmmm, fullscreen doesn't work here. The window's contents are cleared with grey and only the changed areas of the screen are redrawn.

I cant configure the keyboard controls to make the man move.. I've tried editing the amiga_pos.vkm and amiga_sym.vkm files, then I replaced those two with the original files from the archive and I've been trying to use the new joystick configuration from the pulldown menus. It wont work with any keys I've tried. I tried using the configurable keys, and "numpad+ctrl". I tried to go back to my old VICE but I still couldnt get it working again. This game I've tried worked before so I dont know what the issue is. My fingers are sore from typing. It's very frustrating.

EDIT: I've restored my old VICE settings + executable from my backups.. It works again. I havent found a way to use keyboard controls with the newest VICE. I have tried using the config files that worked with the old version, just replaced the exe, but no success.
