I have a page that been for supported AROS laptops but today I figured I make some info about AROS hardware in general.
With AROS 64 smp progresing I wanted to make a computer special for that version. I had a mobo lying around so I looked at the socket and got an Intel Q6600 quad core to fit in there. They cost like 10£ on ebay. I also had some atheros wifi cards lying around so I just needed an adapter to fit in the micro pci-express slots on the mobo. Also had supported Nvidia GF6200 so I can run native GFX. Tried Quake III and it ran way!!! fast (abi v.0). Can also report that AROS smp boot fine with native gfx but had problems with networking and sound. As most know AROS smp is alpha state.

If you run latest Icaros desktop everything will fly!

Have a look here for info about hardware.

Rendring demo running native with Q6600 AROS smp.
You can also see native resolutions to select from my Nvidia GF6200 card.
