Hello Amigans!!

I have a parttion on Workbench called Games&Emulators that it doesn't accept to write even having 16.3 GB left.

2 or 3 days ago I copied some of the full WHDLoad games on a DVD but it stopped after 500 copied or similar.

I checked Partition Wizard but the Salvage option it doesn't work for this volume.

Is there any software on OS4.1 to repair and habilitate my Games&Emulators partition?

Why such behavior?

May I delete the WHDLoad games if it allow me?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Does it list NGFS if you get Info on the volume from Workbench?

This has checking/recovery tools but not much info is available. Can't find any online so maybe check the Documentation drawer on Workbench for NGFS info.

No.But it says the partition is NGS on the volume information option.

MAybe I will read the docuamentation of NGS info

Okay try this:
Select Games&Emulators volume icon on Workbench.
Press Amiga-I to get Info. (Or use Icons menu.)

Check what it lists for Handler and that will be the filesystem.

What machine are you running on? I don't see the X-5000 listed in your sig.

That is a rather old version of NGFS (I think it's the "interim" version that was released with the X-5000). It had some bugs but nothing serious, so it may just be that there are a number of accumulated errors in the volume that have not been fixed.

If you use NGFCheck, it will scan the volume for you and report any errors. It can repair some errors, but not all. Later versions can, of course, do better. I can't remember whether that version of NGFCheck was distributed in System/ or C:, you will have to look.

Unfortunately, later and better versions of NGFS and NGFCheck have only been released to betatesters. I can help you privately if you PM me.

Yes I have my Amiga One X5000 putted on the list but the list is so long to appear here on AmigaWorl.net

I have ran NGFCheck and then it gives me a Grim Reaper after checking my DH2 volume.This was with the help of a friend and by mobilr telephone

I am thinking a 2 or 4 TB USB HD for my A1 X5000 in order to copy the files of my broken partitiion on it and later CHDs or more roms for MAME

Are there any good various terabytes HDs for the Amiga One X5000?

Which brands works better?

Any recommended?

Don’t go for an usb hard drive larger than 2TB. AmigaOS won’t see the partition or won’t be able to use more.
