There is a lot of awful news in the press at the moment with kids across the world being preyed upon by the wayward (and unguided) youth affected by myths such as Slenderman and Momo etc. In addfition, the British political party system is in turmoil and selfish MPs playing silly buggers rather than helping to solve the Brexit deal/no deal stalemate. And Trump wants to start a trade war and use US 'emergency funds' to build a wall!
In the midst of all this madness we have a pensioner Tony Foulds, who has cared for a memorial to USAF airmen who crash landed their bomber in some trees rather than kill the young British lads playing on the field they had chosen for their forced landing 75 years ago! This is heart warming stuff and harkens back to a time when we still had half a moral compass between our two nations. Great stuff chaps, you made that stalwart servant of the people very happy!
P.S. Thanks to Dan Walker from the BBC who ran with the story and got the Armed Forces attention
