| I don’t get why people want this done, specially on a site like this, I can kinda understand it for social media, when you may just want that part an old life gone for various reasons, but for Amiga forum I would never both with. Just leave the account dormant. _________________ AmigaNG, YouTube, LeaveReality Studio |

Its quite simple. Just dont use it. Real removal and back deletition isn't possible at this type of forum. _________________ Future Acube and MOS supporter, fi di good, nothing fi di unprofessionals. Learn it harder way! |

Well as you stated, the @user replies remain, as do the posts. What does happen is the username associated to the post is removed and becomes "anonymous".
This can make looking back on old posts a little confusing when trying to work out whose posts a response is in relation to, and sadly there is no option in the CMS to retain the username against the post once the account is deleted.
This has been a point of contention for more than 15 years, but if a user wants their account closed, that is what happens when it occurs, and we will delete the account as requested. _________________ Test sig (new) |

| Why not just PM a Mod directly
Just ask them to rename your account and assign a random password Oh, and change the associated email Complete deletion would over many other such accounts lead to swiss cheesing the database
