@Nickman

Well I've put an upscaled version for now on my website together with a 1280x960 resolution version. I am rendering a 1600x1200 version now. So you'll have to wait a little more for the big rez image

Thanks a lot for supporting. I think the subject of this thread has slightly changed due the already good looking wallpapers made by rolpho

No problem, I know good quality graphics when I see them

Rolpho has produced some good graphics too hasn't he? Basically the more the merrier, whoever or whatever their background makes no difference

What's next. A theme for Reaction or MUI?

I know. I use that on my PC but the Radeon 7000 on the uA1C can't display a proper quality at 1600x1200.. Therefore I decided not to render in that resolution right now.

I'm sitting with a 22" Iiyama monitor and I notice quite a difference in quality from my PC to the A1. Wish it had an AGP slot so I could choose my own graphicscard. Oh well. It's friggin' fast in the lower resolutions anyway. You start to see some lag when moving up in resolution .. But again it's probably the Radeon 7000..

Ahh. to bad. Another thing that makes me not wanting to buy a uA1
I so hope that a fixed XE will come out again. Or a compleatly new board from another hw maker.

Don't get me wrong. The uA1C is a very nice machine and it's flippin' fast in OS4 ... I love working with it since it's such a joy to work with. I'm running 1280x960 and that looks ok. It's just 1600x1200 that present a little problem quality wise..

@Englyst

No no no. I didn't acuse you of talking bad about the uA1

The uA1 is not an option for right now because I want a full ATX mb.
With 4+ PCI slots and an AGP slot. Thats the main reason not to get an uA1 for me.

This was just a small (minimal) thing to ad to the list of things that keeps me away from the uA1.

How's the rendering going

One of the reasons for me buying the uA1C is that I would like to support Eytech and Hyperion for their great work and have a new Amiga again

I would have loved to have a fullsize motherboard with AGP and PCI slots for expandability. Maybe later...

Rendering is going along nicely. Might be an update later if it's ok. Otherwise it'll be early morning before I can update it.

Morning here is in 7-8 hours. Let's see how it goes.

@Yo

Luckily I don't have to sit and watch it while it renders.. If I had to I'd never get any work done. :-O That would be a first eh? A 3D program requiring a webcam that analyzed video and made sure you sat in front of it before it worked.. LOL

And I have to attend a birthday for an old (30 tomorrow!) amiga musician (Slide / Polka Brothers) tomorrow so I have to sleep eventually.. He's getting old and I have plans to drink him under the table! Hehe...

And i cant do anything else in the meantime, cpu usage is 100%.

would be great to see a port of this amazing program in the future for os4

@Restore2003

It would be lovely if we had an up-to-date 3D program on the Amiga for OS4 but I bet it's not on the horizon for quite some time. I doubt that NewTek would consider this platform at all, even though it was where it all started. Too few customers I bet.

One can dream ...

But there is isn't there. Hyperion have a 3D program that they intend to port to OS4 (sorry can't remember the name of it, I'm sure someone here will scream the name at me).

As much as i would like to help i don't have enough money to buy something this expensive that i don't realy want. If it's something i want, then it's another thing

Great news about the render hopefully i'll have a new backdrop when i get home later today then.

Well, if you're not back home yet, I made it! w00t!

All images are now from the new render. Be sure to grab your preferred image, if preferred at all

I'll let the render rip until tomorrow. Still a slight raydiosity noise present, and since my computer is always on I'll just let it be. But it's quite acceptable now as it is.
