@ikir

Hehe, I haven't installed the latest firmware update either, simply because Rogue specifically said I shouldn't touch it unless I had issues with the current install. I didn't have any issues, so I took his advice. That said, it would of course be a different matter if future SW updates depends on it ...

*Ixemul.library support which will make easier some ports.

If someone updates the OS4 native ixemul.library. It currently can run most m68k ixemul software, i.e. you can use the GeekGadgets tools and use configure scripts, etc., but for creating PPC native ixemul software, especially with vork(), etc., there are still some changes required. Using ixemul.library should be avoided whenever possible anyway.

*Updated SmartFileSystem.
Probably. At least updates of all AmigaOS4 modules the current version (1.240) needs. Uploading current OS4 versions to my SFS homepage is currently useless as they need current dos.library, a1/sii*ide.device, etc., the update2 versions are too old

@Toaks

And even if something should go wrong when you update your rom, you know you can get a replacement pretty quick anyway ;)

@Toaks

I have the new firmware burned on a cd & I know it boots & asks if I want to do the update, but I aborted when it gave me the choice to do so. I know it has to be done before I install update 3, which should be soon now. I do have a minor problem with boot-ups. Once in a while I boot to a black screen or a incomplete workbench or a frozen workbench. I have to do a hard reset to get it going, sometimes more then once. If the firmware update fixed this problem, I'd do it right away. Guess the only way to find out is to just do it.
