I just added my preorder. Although I hope it gets processed before my address changes.

I'll be honest here, I don't have a lot of positive vibes about Papyrus Office, nor do I expect Titan and Hyperion to come to some agreement but it seems that some people are not prepared to put their money where their mouths were before. I know one preorder isn't going to make much difference but I hope it will shame those who said they would preorder it into pulling their fingers out.

I have two developer boards left out in the wilds at the moment being used by two different development teams. If they finish up with them before Titan is ready to start and Titan and Hyperion do not come to an agreement then I will get them sent along to Titan.

No excuses, even if I'm not impressed by Papyrus Office, AmigaOS 4.0 needs it, and we need to continue to support development shops regardless of what has gone on in the past.

@Wiffy

I bet OS4's built in debugging and crashlogs will help them debug all amiga-like versions of Papyrus.. "g++ main.cpp -gdwarf-2" + generate stacktrace + "addr2line -e a.out -f "... nice. :)

@anyone

How fast does the word processor of Papyrus office start up on Peg2 with MOS?

On my brand new Sempron3000+ laptop it takes several tens of seconds to startup open office writer.

@Wiffy

Great initiative!

Hopefully we'll see a solution between Hyperion & Titan so you can
keep your boards, or borrow them to other developers.

Do we know of any other development teams that need boards?

@Toaks

Is that because of a shortage or because of lack of funds/the price?

Rude!

Hi sicky,

I think people are holding out; there are probably 80 people that want to be #60, "Champion of Amiga's SW Renaissance"!

Seven more...

a bit sad though that there still arent more preorders

I expected a flood of preorders, going by the earlier poll about who wanted to pay for it...

Cheers

Martin

Would it make sense to try to encourage folks who don't have OS4 to order the OS4 version anyway, as supposedly they're sending the OS3.x version to use until the OS4 version is available?
