Well, Amiga doesn't actually mean girlfriend in Spanish- that's "novia."

Not sure thats entirely true. A google gives this:

girl·friend, girl friend (gūrlfrnd )
s.
1. - amiga
2. (sweetheart) - novia

Amiga means female friend. (complimenting Amigo as male friend)

The best I can come up with is, "Remember when computers were fun? We do."

You need another one to play when the computer is actually ready to use.
Maybe add more for malfunctions and then we'll have music all day.

Ok, just for kicks, I'll play:

A boing ball crashes through a Window or a Windows Logo.
The caption reads, "Windows break, Amiga doesn't" or "Amiga's break Windows"
or "Want to break a Window, try an Amiga instead."

I already had that idea- see my first post!

Amiga- the windoze breaker.

Yes, and I'd also be worried if I wasn't protected from viruses.

Amiga - Got Balls?

Amiga - We're still around.

Amiga - There is something other than Windows.

Amiga - The last best hope for PowerPC.

Amiga - It's a computer!

Amiga - Now the world is ready for a CDTV.

Amiga - Would it help if we hired Kiki Stockhammer?

Amiga - The Eye of Technology rests on this Hyperion of Entertainment.

So, most of these are in jest and for fun.

Amiga: The computer with "Boing"

Amiga: Not just Boing anymore - now with "Power Boing"!
(Perhaps a visual of a youngster bouncing one of those rubber power-bounce balls, it rockets off into the sky, and when the camera catches up with it in space/orbit, we see that it is the Amiga boing ball...)

Back then when Phase 5 was still aorund they made fun of Microsoft's "where do you want to go today?" by asking "Where do you want to be tomorrow?"

MS's current slogan seems to be "Start something" so how about "Start everything"?

Hmm..

How about,

Amiga, The Futures History.

Start the ad with Lorraine, especially if you can get hold of it, and run the best OCS Demo on it.. maybe parts of Desert Dreams. 8)..

In the beginning, computers were handcrafted from induvidual componants, their design contains so much of their creators, that they could be said to be alive.

Showing the Audigy Platignum, as a mere update to the sound, the X850 an update to the copper and blitter.. as for the method of reading floppies.. hmm, dynamically variable disk level coding?.. that would be hardware RAID wouldnt it? 8}

Well, and filesystem encryption and such 8}

At the end, leaving the case off, showing the CPU, maybe even the Cell, using distort, beating, heart like? 8}

Ill leave the Eric Schwartz style Zombie attack for the late night ads. 8}

RodTerl.

Mrr.. Cell.

(Well, Itll do till I get my DSL optical quantum CPU design operational. 8} )

EDITED. ACK.. a couple typos @.@, Well, the important ones 8}

Alright, here's my idea. This would all be animated, cartoon style.

*a bunch of animated cartoon characters with hands and feet, hanging around, talking, etc*

*a big, dumb, computer dragging his arms and slobbering on himself walks into the room, starts hitting the other computers, scares the rest of them off*

*declares himself the winner, wanders around looking confused*

*the Amiga computer (one of the computers he hit) get's up, brushes itself off, and proceeds to run circles around the big dumb computer. He's far too fast for him. the big computer tries to punch the Amiga, but he is too slow*

*After a thorough beating, and the big computer being out of breath and having no more fight left in him, the Amiga waits for just a second, and then slaps him in the face. The big dumb computer falls over backwards*

*the Amiga turns to face the camera. The camera zooms in and reveals the boing ball*

In my head I can see all this working

Hee hee hee! Yes, most women prefer hard drives- very few like backing up onto a floppy!

We could go on, but we'd better not- the last time we did a whole thread was deleted!

Yes, that's a good idea- associate the AmigaOne with space; we could get NASA in on it! They're already one of Tao's clients!

That's one thing the start button in windoze seldom actually does!
