Give him a break?

Him and that Troika guy has been playing the Amiga users like fools for far too long, not sure why people stick up for them time and time again. They are just taking the piss, giving out hope to people that actually want to buy OS4 and hardware is outright cruel and unjust.
Even their announcements are just getting more ridiculous each time and nothing comes of any of them.

In Amigaland it is like April the 1st all year round. keep up the hoax though, more gullable people are happy to take the bait.

I don't think any ACK products will come out in humble opinion..that OS 4.0 will not be useable for the major publics is my biggest feeling.

Just to make this clear. I really could care less about some pictures... For me, it doesn't prove a thing. What proves something is having a prototype running at a demo when it's scheduled (for the second time). That proves something. But as I've said many times before. Adam is the one who set the time frame. He had the rest of the weekend to take a few snapshots, and get them uploaded. If he wasn't going to follow through, then he should not have even said so much. I'll give it until midnight... but as it stands, I'll be willing to bet you are still making excuses come 9:00 tomorrow night.

You made me smile clebin with your post but all it will end up doing with Adam's false hopes and the rest is increase my desire towards the classic over the PPC Amiga even more...and lose more and more interest towards OS 4.0, in general.

Fishy_fis has his mind set correctly, go for AROS, Amithlon, classic Amiga, even WinUAE and not bother yourself towards OS 4.0. Thank you so much Adam for breaking our hopes I give you my thumps up.

To be fair, I've done web pics for business purposes..let's at least say 2 hours between multiple shots, backdrop, cropping, etc., plus some info along with the pics.

Well, I DO care about the pics, but for similar reasons to what you've said- simply producing something, 'anything, 'on time.' I think the 'community has given more than enough 'chances' to simply meet a single deadline, even if only pics and info, where they have every right to be suspicious of nearly everything at this point. No one picked the day for Adam, he said 'no later than Tuesday evening.' People have already flat out told him missing deadlines = 'vapor feeling,' enough times that he (and others) is aware of it. So, knowing that, yes, I think it was more important to take some pictures, edit and post them, versus any other task to be done in a few days.

Shrug, most people, you can fool once, then no more, Amigans seem to continually take it up the ***, and keep continuing to give second/thrid/fourth/fifht/etc chances.. eventually, it's still 'too many.' I hope Adam (and Troika) come through on statements before there's no one left to turn out the lights.

Yeah, I know, if you are going for the "pro look", but I'm guessing Adam is just planning to take a couple of snaps and post them for the proof in the pudding effect. The pro looking stuff has time to be done before his website goes live (whenever that will be). Even at that, there should have been enough time since the IRC over the weekend to get some pics cropped etc. Just my opinion, of course. I'm not trying to bash Adam, just saying what I think about the "timeline" and his track record for meeting dates...

is something like, do not show anything until you
got the full product, that is : hardware + OS4 (ported).

Well, I was going to say something that would have been in bad taste relating to my user name (use your imagination), anyhow, it's 7:10 p.m. PST and 10:10 p.m. Eastern Standard Time where he is, on Tuesday June 13.

I guess "13" is bad?

I still think that there is HW imminent from ACK Controls. He just is a tinkerer, and it takes alot to "get it done", no matter what is in question.


Adam, please get those pictures up before you are dragged through the mud and pilloried too much more than you have been already.


I'm still going to go for a 1.7 GHz CPU upgrade for my AmigaOne XE (when I get the funds, still waiting ).

Uhh, why would that be the case at all, or why would Adam not state that? He certainly seems pretty up front about things chatting in IRC, and you'll note Troika's 'partial pic,' as well as Adam's statement of 'oby Tuesday evening.' I'm pretty sure neither would do/say so in that case..
