Dear Hyperion.

When the betas of RRootage and Xmoto (SDL/GL) ports got released by me and varthall you mentioned that the bugs that prevent these games and other possible SDL/GL apps to run without glitches was already fixed.
Couldn't you _please_ consider releasing a very small update with the needed fixes to the SDK and libs for us to be able to compile and use SDL/GL stuff?
That would make SDL porting a whole lot more fun, and users would get a lot more things to use/play with. Most SDL apps use GL to draw stuff as it's the fastest way, it would open up a big door.

Just a tiny little update, no fancy stuff, the needed libs/includes only... It would take you 15 minutes max to get out the door. Pretty puulease with sugar on top! ;)

PS. a short status report on OS4 would be great aswell! :)

Best wishes! / spot

Did he mean email- or web-address? There is no geographical address on the OS4-site.
I am not even sure if Hyperion has a "real" office. Maybe most people are contractors and work from their homes.

@polka.

If he mean a physical address, he can send an email to ask it.

Saluditos,
Ferrán.

An Impressum/imprint defines the person who is responsible for the website content. This does not necessarily have to be the same as the company address.

@Toaks

I doubt MESA is ready for release yet, and i thought asking for that was asking too much... my chanses might be bigger when asking for something tiny as this.. ;)

@polka.

Taking into account that the person in that address is the Managing Partner of Hyperion Entertainment, there's a BIG chance that if you send a letter or parcel to him with something like "To: Hyperion Entertainment VOF" written in the label, the letter/parcel will eventually reach its destination, don't you think so? Perhaps you are looking for something else...

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

@spotUP

How about the newmem kernel as well? That would give developers chance to fix anything that breaks under it, before an official OS4 release.

@Chris_Y
I forget, what memory system does OS4 currently use? If it uses that Slabs system they mentioned, then I could remove my own buddy-allocator from PortablE, which uses extra memory, and no-doubt slows things down cos of the 68k emulation vs PPC system allocator.

Has anyone met these guys? I haven't heard of any of them involved in OS4 projects.

I know you are familiar with the line Rogue got tired of saying repeatedly, to the
point where he put it in his signature:
Quote:
Hans-Jörg Frieden. I work for Hyperion but I don't speak for them. Got that?

Here's a line from a post from Rogue:
Quote:
I need an okay from the management,

You do realize who owns Hyperion, right?
