@AmigaBlitter

Hmm, i dont really think they have enough character.. They're both a bit too industrial looking to me. Too much like normal PC cases.

3. Have one case. Everyone on this board can identify each Amiga model
by its case. The same with iMacs, iPods, Xboxes, Playstations etc. I always
felt this was one problem with the A1 - it was just a motherboard. Then
everyone pimped out their own cases and the identity was lost. Sam (and
whatever other boards eventually get released) needs one case (or two, if
you go a desktop and tower). What's on the outside is what people will
remember, not within.

In far New Zealand the cost of importing built up systems or even just
cases is prohibitive compared to the very low cost of locally produced
cases. so it is motherboard only for me, and for many others unless we
get our own dealer who can make up systems locally and that is unlikely
at present. With the A1s our dealer was in Australia. We had to wait
about 5 weeks for the boards to get to Oz, then weeks more sometimes
to get them to NZ, if they arrived at all. Two out of six for our own
group failed to reach NZ, one presumed stolen, the other destroyed
while in transit in Oz. Your points about branding are fine but won't
work everywhere, at least not yet.
